It is home to a convenience store, Post Office and licensed social club, as well as a harbour. Surrounded by sea and mountains, this village is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, as well as being close to the edge of the popular Snowdonia National Park, being just 5 miles away, with many well-trekked and planned routes ready to be walked. Caernarfon is also close by, which boasts more choice for pubs and restaurants.
