Marina di Novaglie, or simply Novaglie, is a seaside locality in the province of Lecce where the coastline is characterized by a low cliff in which a distinctive marina has been created.  It overlooks the Adriatic and is just a few kilometers from Santa Maria di Leuca. Along the coast there are many caves which, over the centuries, have been used as places of worship or for sheltering fishermen.  Today Marina di Novaglie is a small enchanting paradise which is ideal for scuba diving and fishing enthusiasts.  The cove situated between Punta Rossa and Punta Pizzo is located on a sandy stretch of the coast and is more suitable for children. Villa Zitetta is enclosed within around 1,200 m2 of private land with centuries-old olive trees and Mediterranean shrub, approximately 500 m from the sea.  It has recently been completely renovated with great care by the current owners, paying particular attention to the furnishing accessories which are all made by local craftsmen. This is the ideal departure point for rapidly reaching many famous tourist and cultural locations: Otranto is 50 Km away.  The splendid Baroque city of Lecce is 65 Km away, Gallipoli 47. The villa is distributed over three levels. GROUND FLOOR: spacious open area with kitchen, pantry and living room with dining area that extends from the interior to the paved terrace which is furnished for eating ”al fresco”. The kitchen has an oven and dishwasher. Bathroom and shower FIRST FLOOR: (accessed from both an internal as well as an external staircase): 2 double bedrooms with bathroom and shower; the bedrooms lead to a terrace which is partly shaded with wattle. LOWER FLOOR: 2 double bedrooms with bathroom and shower. The laundry room with washing machine is located in an outdoor room. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and mosquito screens on the windows.
