An easy walk to town for shopping, restaurants and pubs and a bicycle ride or short drive to the Ballina pool and water slide, river and patrolled surf beaches. The Eltham Hotel, Federal's Cafe Doma, Harvest, The Farm, Killen Falls, the Channon Markets, Crystal Palace and Byron Bay are within easy driving distance through lush rolling hills. The charming, light filled timber home was originally constructed more than 100 years ago. Three bedrooms, a generous bathroom and joined kitchen-lounge room make this home perfect for a family with up to four children that want to enjoy the Northern Rivers. Located in a residential neighbourhood, across the road from park and tennis courts, the main strip - River Street - is a few minutes' walk away. Surfing, kayaking, fishing, bike-riding, tennis, croquet, lawn-bowls, golf... all close by in Ballina. Shopping mall with movie theatre, licensed bowling alley, Woolies, Coles, IGA, Kmart, BigW, Target, First Choice, BWS, Dan Murphys and more... big city convenience... all there. The cottage has generous on-site street parking and is an easy stroll to restaurants, pubs and cafes on River Street. Ballina island is flat and has well marked bicycle paths that connect all local parks and attractions, going all the way to Lennox Head (we have a couple of bikes available and bike hire is in walking distance). Ballina airport is a 10 minute drive from the property, Gold Coast airport one hour, Brisbane CBD two. Public transport, taxis and Uber exist but are patchier than in the city... make sure you book in advance! Make the most of the nearby beaches to surf, go for long walks, or watch the migrating whales. Nature and the little indulgences in this part of the world will restore and reinvigorate you. Beach towels supplied! The cottage is also family friendly with lockable screen doors on both entrances making it hard for littlies to escape. Highchair, baby bath, travelcot/bassinet/changetable and potty are all available on request!
