Boutique 87, also referred to as Number 87 in Bentota was designed by Geoffrey Bawa as a beautiful tropical estate. We offer our guests tranquility and luxury, the perfect place to indulge in your senses. Your room comes with a butler that will assist you with any needs you may have, we recommend you wonder out to our 17 acre garden and pick your favorite place for the day, maybe two because there are plenty to find. May it be under a tree or by our lakes or the many follies scattered all around the property. Make your self completely comfortable! Its the LotusEater lifestyle All 17 acres of jungle-gardens, lakes and marshland; home to birds, reptiles, insects, fish and wild animals, some endemic to Sri Lanka. Prior to arriving at Boutique 87, our reservation office is able to arrange any particular of your trip; at arrival our Manager will assist with any other requirements. You can order breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks any time through out your stay. Or head out to the beach, which is a 5 minute walk from Boutique87 The 18 acre garden has tours and Photoshoot’s open from 6 am to 4 pm We are a 10 minute drive to the beach, 20 minute drive to Lunuganga ( Home to Geoffrey Bawa) You can travel by Tuktuk, or Public transport, if you do not have a mode of transport. Boutique 87 was built in the late 1960's and was designed and built by Geoffrey Bawa for Lydia Duchini Gunasekara, a former professor of sculpture at Milan University. She was responsible for many of the beautiful sculptures on site. In 1994, the property was repurchases and extended to 17 acres. Geoffrey Bawa was recommissioned immediately after to restore and renovate it. Boutique 87 consists of seventeen acres of jungle-gardens, lakes and marshland; home to birds, reptiles, insects, fish and wild animals, some endemic to Sri Lanka.
