Lovely Bedroom Suite near Airport (self-contained)
A self contained studio room in a country cottage in North Somerset. Little Paddock was once the ‘little paddock’ of the neighbouring Farm before being transformed in the 1950s. The picturesque country lane has trees arching over the lane making you feel like you are driving through a tunnel of greenery. Situated just off the busy A38, about 3 miles south of Bristol Airport, you turn into another world where it is quiet and scenic. Discover the country pubs, enjoy the walks and take time out. The room is self contained with its own entrance. The thick double doors that lead to the rest of the house remain locked for the duration of your visit to ensure you have complete privacy. The double bed is a sofa bed and the two extra beds are folding Jay-Be guest beds that are made up when there are extra guests. There is a sofa for watching the TV and your bed will be made up ready for your night’s sleep. A kettle is available for you to make yourself tea or coffee. A continental breakfast will be left waiting, ready for you to enjoy at a time to suit yourselves. Parking is available on the driveway and access to the room is via the side of the house to the back where you will find the patio doors which will take you into the room. Guests will have access to their room and shower room, the garden and driveway. Jane and family live here and will be around during your stay. You will be left to your privacy but we are also very sociable and are always happy to chat or offer any advice about the local area. This is a country lane off the A38 about 3 miles south of Bristol Airport, with houses scattered along every so often. The house is surrounded by fields and has views of the Mendip Hills. The local villages are all a short distance away with excellent country pubs. The New Inn at Blagdon has beautiful views across Blagdon Lake and the Yeo Valley. The Darlington Arms at Redhill is a short drive up the A38. The Plough Inn at Wrington and The Plume of Feathers in Rickford are all short drives away. There are plenty of footpaths for walking. Further afield are the towns and cities of Weston-super-Mare, Wells, Bristol, and Bath. Local places to visit are Cheddar Caves, Wookey Hole, Tyntesfield National Trust Property, the City of Wells, Blagdon or Chew Valley Lakes, and dry-ski slopes at Churchill. There is a step into the property. The two single beds are put up beds, that are folded for storage when not in use. We have a Jack Russell, called Jak. She is very friendly but may bark to tell us you have arrived! Your room is on the ground floor, off the kitchen. You may from time to time hear us in the kitchen, but noise will be kept to a minimum at all times during your stay.
