Friendly house in unique Commonwealth Village
Friendly mid terrace house in the Commonwealth Athletes Village is home to my partner, our little cat and myself. We would love to welcome you to stay in this unique part of Glasgow. We are located only 7 minutes train journey from Glasgow city centre (the house is a 10 minute walk from Dalmarnock train station). We are also extremely close to the Emirates Arena and Celtic Park (10 minute walk) and less than a 10 minute drive to Tollcross International Swimming Centre. Guests will have access to double bedroom with sofa and coffee table, private bathroom and garden space. Due to Covid restrictions, we ask guests only use front entrance door, room and bathroom only. We have provided kettle, tea & coffee in your room. My partner and I will be happy to meet and greet and would love to find out about your travels. We can offer lots of advice on Glasgow (and further) and things to do/eat and drink. We are happy to help you out for whatever you need, but we will make sure you have your own personal space. Due to Covid restrictions, we are trying to reduce face to face contact, so we ask guests to wear masks on entering and exiting their room. The house is situated in the beautiful, new Commonwealth Athletes Village. It has lovely views on to the Clyde. You can access the Clyde walkways and cycle routes. There is also a bridge across to the newly developed park, the Cuningar Loop. Being an athletes village, we are extremely close to lots of sporting venues. The neighbourhood is very quiet and has a lovely community feel to it, at times you forget how close you are to the city centre. The village has excellent connectivity to Glasgow city centre, south side and west end via regular buses, trains and taxis. Train to Glasgow takes 7 minutes, which has connections to Edinburgh (50mins). A taxi to the city center off peak is about £5. This is a great base for exploring Glasgow and the West. This is our home and we would politely ask that you respect it as you would your own, so please be considerate and leave it as your find it. As we are a mid terrace, we have neighbours either side, please show respect by keeping noise levels to a minimum. Our cat is extremely friendly but will mostly stay out of the way of strangers. Since she is an indoor cat we ask that you are mindful of open doors and windows, as she can be very curious (her name is George!). We are an inclusive household and LGBTQI friendly, we want all our guests to feel welcome and safe. Covid update: Please wear a mask when entering and exiting your space. There are masks and sanitiser provided at the front door if you require them. Myself and my partner will frequently sanitise communal touch points during your stay.
