Powered by solar and a gas calafont, the Pinui bach gives you the comforts of home from the Kaipara back country. There is a generous lawn area for the kids to stretch their legs and an undercover awning that comfortably shelters 10 socialising adults. The firewood is always well stocked up so the outdoor brazier can burn long into the night. A fitted bed sheet, pillow and pillow slip will be provided. Please be aware that you will have to bring a towel and a sleeping bag or duvet. The property has no vehicle access. We will transport you to your accommodation and pick you up the next day. It is a 15 minute walk from your vehicle to the bach. Advertised price is for 2 adults. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROPERTY IS SITUATED AT THE BACK OF OUR EXTENSIVE SHEEP AND BEEF PROPERTY. THERE IS A CREEK CROSSING TO GET TO THE PROPERTY. IF EXCESSIVE RAIN IS FORECAST WE MAY HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF THE CREEK FLOODING. Your hosts Steve and Clare are only too happy to help with anything and are always in contact with our guests via a radio in the bach. Steve manages the farm you will be staying on and is always keen to answer any questions about the 500-hectare sheep and beef property. The Hoteo River walk: 4-5hrs return The duration of this walk is set on the family farm where you are staying. Following the river upstream you will pass over farmland and beside several beautiful rapids before getting to the riparian restoration project that the family has started on the riverbank. Highlights include a log bridge crossing and a rest spot amongst the trees at the riparian area. Special conditions: We encourage families to stay but please be aware there is a stream only 50 meters from the hut. This is a hazard for small children and toddlers. The bach is on a working farm, there are farm hazards outside of the bach section and on the walkways. The bach is situated 15 minutes walk from the end of the road.
