Quiet, sunny country home with views of hills.
Quiet country house set on 20 acres at the end of a No Exit road, next to the Garry River and close to Mt Thomas and walking tracks. Twenty minutes from Rangiora and Oxford, 50 min to central Christchurch. Porters Skifield is an hour away. Own private bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet. Shared dining/living area and sitting room. The bedroom is generously proportioned. The wardrobe has hangers and shelving for guest use. The bathroom has a bath and shower, and heated towel rail. Breakfast is provided - muesli/porridge, toast with homemade jam. Hot drinks - tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Guests are welcome to use and enjoy our living area, sitting room and garden. Because our kitchen is part of our living area it is not available for guests to use other than making hot drinks and heating food. However, guests are welcome to join us for a two course dinner for a small charge. If you would like to do this please let us know so we can cater for you. Otherwise Rangiora and Oxford have places to eat out. We have two black Labradors who are part of our family and are house dogs. They are very friendly and love meeting new people as are we. We are happy to sit and chat with you and advise you on what there is to do in the area. One of us will be here to greet you and show you around. You are welcome to come and go as you please. As mentioned above we love to meet new people and are happy to socialise and suggest things to do in the area. We live in a small rural community. There are walking tracks close by and the Ashley River. We are about halfway between Rangiora and Oxford - both are about 20 minutes away by car. Rangiora is larger than Oxford with good shopping, cafes, restaurants and a cinema. Oxford is a small rural town with an art gallery, three cafes, a good book/gift/clothes shop and supermarket. As we are in a rural location there is no public transport, so a car is a necessity.
