Spacious apartment in a two-story refurbished villa. Situated in a beautiful garden in a pine forest, the house is only a 6 minute walk from the gorgeous beach called Fava. Easy access to boat trips, boat rentals, mini markets, tavernas, pizza, fish & burger houses and several beach bars. The property is located in a holiday resort with beautiful gardens in a pine forest with lovely beaches, secluded from daily traffic but very close to all the amenities needed. The apartment occupies the top floor of a 2 level villa. It has 2 large double bedrooms, new kitchen and bathroom, spacious living/dining room and front and back verandas that sleeps 4 to 6 people (2 bedrooms and a double sofa bed if needed). Pass the garden gate and enter a picturesque shady forest path for 6min to arrive at one of the most beautiful beaches of the area called “Fava”. Or walk along the coast to choose a beach that pleases you, like “Aphrodite” or “Karydi”! You might want to take the car and go to one of the hundreds of beaches, organized or not, or maybe enjoy the vibes of a beach-bar and feel like you are in the end of the world…Or rent a boat and spend the day in the opposite island “Diaporos”, swim in the “Blue waters” and feel like being in the Carribean. The nearby village is at 15min walk distance and offers mini markets where you can find all that you need; there you can also find tavernas with fresh fish, meat, a burger house, the biggest Italian pizza you have seen and several bars. A 15min drive will take you to Nikiti, a large village with supermarkets, seaside restaurants, bar and several stores. You can take a stroll along the seaside and visit the old village up in the slope and see the old Church, the stone paved paths and beautiful stone houses, most of which are restored. Sithonia peninsula, famous for its beautiful beaches, appeals to nature lovers. Besides the beautiful beaches and turquoise waters, you can go mountain hiking (path found at a 10min walk from our door). You can also drive around the peninsula visiting other famous beaches like Kavourotrypes, Kriaritsi, Armenistis, the picturesque Porto Koufo, the large village of Marmaras, the big hotel complex Porto Karas. Marinas, tavernas, beach bars are to be found everywhere along the way. Another must do is a boat cruise to mount Athos and have a close look at the monasteries. There are daily boat cruises from the nearby port, Ormos Panagias. The complex of houses which we call “Ikismos” is considered to be the most beautiful organized complex of summer villas in northern Greece due to the spacious gardens, the combination of beautiful beaches and pine tree forest, but mainely for the respect of the natural surroundings with which it was designed The guests are welcome to enjoy the whole top apartement as if it is theirs. There is a huge garden around the house with green and several verandas. They can park their cars inside the yard and they are welcome to enjoy their stay respecting the local community. There is no need to say that any information and help required in order to make your accommodation more pleasant will be given! The villa is in a holiday resort in Vourvourou, known nationwide for its revolutionary design and respect for the natural surroundings. The region, 120km from Thessaloniki, aknowledged for its outstanding natural beauty, combines beautiful white sanded beaches, a thick pine forest and a cluster of nine small islands just off the shore, which you can visit by boat and enjoy the clearest aquamarine waters of Greece and the most isolated beaches. If you deside to trekk along the Mount Itamos paths, you will have the chance to see a breathtaking view of Vourvourou bay and the islands and visit the traditional village Parthenon. Vourvourou is not a village but a strip of shops, tavernas and beaches, ideal for nature lovers and those who want a relaxed vacation. Still there are plenty of activities offered, as well as places of interest at a15-20 min drive if you deside to go on a day trip. There are buses coming from Thessaloniki stopping at all major villages and the stop is very close to the house. Alternatively you can get a taxi to move around but it can be quite costly; you will need to pre-book it. There are no air conditioning units in the apartment but there are ceiling fans in the rooms which are great; many people prefer these as they create a natural feel of coolness and they don't cause side effects. The beds in the two rooms can be used as twin beds or double with the addition of a special little mattress. We have always used them as double.
