Situated in Askrigg Village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, The Barn is a detached stone built property which sits on a hill providing you with excellent views and is a peaceful and relaxing place to unwind. Ideal for exploring the dales. Dog friendly too. Inside Space The converted barn has a well equipped kitchen, shower room with hand basin and wc, and a lounge with dining area on the ground floor. A spiral staircase takes you up to a mezzanine floor where the double bedroom and separate wc are situated, and a twin bedded room leads off this. Kitchen: Hob, cooker, microwave, sink, fridge. Shower Room: Shower, hand basin and wc. Lounge: 2 sofa's, 1 armchair, woodburning stove, dining table and chairs. T.V with freeview and built in dvd player. Radio Bed linen and towels provided. Outside The barn is south facing and has a paved patio outside both the main and side entrances. Also a seating area which is the perfect place to enjoy a drink at the end of the day and take in the panoramic views. There are two fields right outside the door, ideal for children and dogs to play in. If you like walking there are footpaths from your door. Or if cycling is your passion, the dales have some of the best hills in Yorkshire. If you're looking for a taste of country living and like quaint and quirky, then a stay in our barn is definitely for you! Access with a vehicle is not guaranteed during bad weather, but there is parking at the foot of the hill in our pub car park, a short stroll from the barn. Guests have access to the entire barn and to two adjacent fields. We own The Crown Inn pub next to The Barn and this is where you will collect the keys. As we live on site we are available should you require anything during your stay. Beautiful, peaceful and near a great traditional pub! 1 minute walk to the pub. 2 minute walk into centre of village where you will find a deli/bakery, craft shop, tea rooms and the village store which sells groceries and all your everyday needs, including newspapers. There are also 2 other pubs in the village. Hawes is 5 miles West, and Leyburn is 12 miles East. We provide a light D.I.Y breakfast of cereals, toast & jam along with tea, coffee and milk. An initial supply of coal will be provided, after that supplies can be bought at the village shop.
