The living room contains a new, modern double-sized sofa bed (195x145cm), a dining table with four chairs, a lounger, a flat-screen t.v. with cable channel access and a hi-fi system. High-speed wifi is available throughout the apartment and on the patio. Guests can make free use of the apartment's telephone for national land-line and national mobile network calls. Prices include the use of fresh bedroom, bathroom and kitchen towels per stay. Guests are welcome to use the apartment's own private patio and small lawn area. There's a parking space on the property and there are additional parking spaces (blue zone) on the street next to the house. Please note the check-in and check-out times. We can be flexible, but please let us know well in advance what time you are arriving. We're happy to help our guests and we have a range of information available about the local area. Faulensee is a coveted place to live, with a small village supermarket and with several restaurants and their terraces along the lake shore. The house is directly on the hiking route between Thun and Interlaken, and the village lies directly on the southern shore of Lake Thun. Faulensee is connected directly to Thun, Spiez and Interlaken by bus, train and ship and the mountain valleys are not only within sight, but also within easy reach. Both the village and the house are easily reached by car: guests arriving by road are warned to avoid using the **very steep, narrow lane** up Rossweg, which is usually suggested by sat nav devices! Drive up Allmendweg instead. The main train line passing through Spiez provides direct national and international connections. Faulensee train station - a request stop - is served once every two hours (e.g. 9:10, 11:10, 13:10) and the train journey to Interlaken takes around 20 minutes. Alternatively, there is a bus from the lakeside (2-3 minutes away) which you can use to get to Spiez, from where regular trains will take you to Interlaken or a wide range of other destinations. Via bus and train, Faulensee-Spiez-Interlaken takes about 50 minutes. And for guests who want to take the most leisurely route, you can catch a ship from Faulensee and travel to a range of lake-side villages, as well as Thun and Interlaken. Timetables are available on the BLS website: run a web search for “bls ship timetable thunersee”. Please note the check-in times: between 16:00 – 21:00. A tourist tax of CHF 3.50 per person per day must be paid while you're staying in the apartment.
