Our property called Allambi means "stay a while". Our rustic studio sits amid rolling pastures where cows graze & endless valley views & is ideal for those craving an escape from the urban hustle and bustle. You will feel all your stress fall away as you breathe in the fresh air, take in the picturesque surrounds and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature. Tranquility is at the heart of the property and we can all but guarantee it is somewhere you won't want to leave! The studio is designed to allow you to switch off from the busy world we live in which you can leave behind and get back to nature to a simple world. It makes use of the sun, the wind and the rain. Overlooking the hills surrounding the property in one of the most beautiful parts of the the Northern Rivers. Get lost wandering around the property, rich with rainforest, dam, swimming hole and wildlife (rabbits and kangaroos running through the property in the morning) , nestled in the stunning Byron Bay Hinterland. Your studio accommodation is located approximately 50 meters from the main house on the property. Our cows roam free on the land, so please bear this in mind when booking. The property is bordered by Emigrant creek and a number of swimming holes for you to discover. It is very rustic, so if you are looking for all the mod cons, this tiny cabin isnt for you. And we like to help the economy so support the small local businesses. ******Important******* Unfortunately we have had some guests not caring for our items hence all the rules which we dont like to impose. but it ruins it for the next guest thats staying after YOU. ******Please take your rubbish with you. Leaving food behind attracts animals****Just because we say pets are allowed you must ask us**** We are having guests bring their pets without request. ******Please ask, we dont always say NO. An additional cleaning fee of $60 is added for pet cleaning. Staying at our cabin means you agree to our terms and conditions. If you ruin something it means the next guest cant use it. We understand that there is wear and tear and breakages sometimes and we repair / replace as quick as we can however with covid, its taken extra days/ weeks to get tradespeople up here, but carelessness will incur fees and charges Facilities available: We provide wine upon arrival. *kitchenette with butler sink *small oven/induction burners *Breville toaster *bathroom with Venetian render/shower and Indian Vanity unit with stone sink *Queen Bed with linen * hair dryer *Large Ironbark entertainers deck with a pergola *The roof is angled perfectly to allow sun through winter and shade the deck in summer * external wood stove burner to light at night and heat the deck area * fire extinguisher/Gas BBQ facility on the deck * A hammock and hanging chair is hung outside on the two hooks on the deck. * fresh linen and towels are provided, and will be changed every 5 days for guests staying a little longer. * Please note we dont have washing machine facilities (the nearest coin operated / credit card laundrette is in Bangalow open 24/7) Cnr of Blackwell Al and Station St. * A large amphitheatre overlooking the valley where you can have a glass or wine ***** An outdoor hot spa tub filled with magnesium ready for your arrival so you can unwind is already heated - It is now permanently heated just like a pool. there is plenty of wood around the property and some is collected just under the steps near the tub if you need it hotter but it is at 38 degrees. Please clip the lid back on the tub so it doesnt blow away. Please do not ask the tenants in the other house as they are not involved in the airbnb****** Conditions of stay: * No additional visitors unless prior arrangement is made. We will know if anybody extra come up to the property. * Strictly NO parties or gatherings * Be mindful of power and water usage as we are fully self-sustainable and on water tanks as most properties in the hinterland are. * Pool is not accessible for guests, please refrain from use * Please leave the studio in a tidy manner, as when you arrived and drop the rubbish in the bins at the driveway. * Any items that are damaged or broken can be paid for directly to us, to full replacement value *We please ask you DONT flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet as we are on septic tanks Guests can also have private Spa treatments from Byron Spa by Jodi Anderson. A full menu is available with a price list in the bathroom. Pets live on property. (Cows, chickens) sometimes ants when they are looking for water, hares and rabbits run through the paddock and occasionally kangaroos in the morning. I know we have said dogs are not permitted but you may be able to persuade us on this as we are naturally dog lovers. Naturally there are creepy crawlers, insects and bugs but we have fly screens. Please don’t hurt them unless they are a direct threat to you. They are very much part of the environment that we respect and have learnt to live with . We will provide fly spray and citronella candles during your stay . Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $500. We know that accidents happen, however if something happens out of the ordinary we will charge you for it. Please treat our cabin like its your home. ####Please take your rubbish with you when you leave as it attracts mice and rats by the time we get there to clean. Not removing your rubbish will attract a $30 clean fee. Please also wipe down the BBQ after using it.###### ###Please leave the key in the back of the door. Should the key go missing a fee to replace of of $50 will be incurred.#### ####The outdoor spa cannot be used when we have total fire ban as this is a wood fire Spa- however you may request for an ice bath (POA-notice required to get fresh water delivered. You must supply your own ice)### A holistic approach to health is immersing yourself into a freshwater ice bath. It helps muscles, tendons , bones and tissue recover from workouts. Allow your body to invigorate your muscles with oxygen to help your cells function better. We have chopped branches and stockade them for your convenience. There is also a lot of fallen branches around the property which you can collect. As we don’t go around chopping trees down sometimes there might not be enough wood to use the spa tub. As we keep the price of the cabin low we can’t guarantee that there is always wood available. Water is also used form our tanks so is the tanks are low we don’t always have water filled in the tub. This means we have to purchase water ourselves. Sometimes this will be an added cost. We remain competitive on the cost of our cabin. please note that we also need to have the tub cleaned due to covid so this also costs additional cleaning costs to us which we don’t pass on. Sometimes it can be brown but thats because it is made from cedar and it the tanin that remains. Also note that it takes 6 hours to heat so maybe start the fire in the morning. It is no different to any other airbnb that has an outdoor spa tub at inflated prices. The water heats up the same amount of time. we appreciate your understanding. The whole tiny farmhouse shed. The farmer and his wife live in the main house on the property. Feel free to roam the land but be mindful of the privacy of the tenants. We prefer to let you check in yourselves and move freely. There is so much land to experience and take in Nearby historic Newrybar boasts the infamous Harvest Newrybar restaurant, bakery and deli and showcases the diversity foods of the wonderful local region. Seasonal food sourced from artisan producers wild Australian ingredients - definitely a treat not to be missed! Tintenbar itself has tennis courts, a picnic ground and the Tintenbar General Store. A little further down the road, Teven Valley Golf Course is a delightful course in a superbly tranquil setting. Killens Falls Nature Reserve is located a couple of hundred metres across the road-follow the signs on Killen Falls Drive. Go for a stroll along the track through the regenerating sub-tropical rainforest. The boardwalk offers a viewing platform located on the top of a cliff overlooking Killen Falls. Or for the more daring climb down to the amazing waterfall with care. There are several waterfall scattered around Tintenbar its exciting discovering them. Tosha Falls, Dalwood falls and Marom falls are some but always take care. Bangalow is the nearest quintessential artistic and cosmopolitan town with cafes and boutiques to explore. With markets on at the grounds (please check dates) there is something for everybody. Further afield is the Farm in Ewingsdale and if you love the best Japanese sushi take a scenic drive to Doma in Federal. Enjoy a scenic drive in the hinterland, stop at different farm gate stalls for any produce in season, enjoy a pottery class and create a take home piece or have a massage at a day spa at Gaia Retreat in Brooklet a 5 minute drive away. A further 5 mins you will discover a beautiful pecan farm where you can enjoy a private dining experience for breakfast or lunch. Both Lennox Head and Ballina also have a great selection of cafes and restaurants and beaches, lakes, and parks to explore. Tintenbar is a world away yet so close to everywhere. We are located close to Ballina Airport, Lennox Head and Byron Bay, making us easily accessible. Renting a car is essential however for sightseeing and getting to and from the hinterland. Please mind running the water all the time as we are on water tanks and there is a huge drought at the moment. There is sometimes firewood for you to use the pot belly stove at night should you wish. Otherwise you may find lots of branches on the property. When winding the roller blinds up please tie the ties up. You may unhook the organe hook for the electric fences if you want to go fo a walk. Please keep it up if youre not wanting to use it so the cows dont wander into your place or near your car. When you leave please leave the key to the door in the lock. Please TAKE THE RUBBISH WITH YOU and drop it in the bins on your way out. A cleaner will come and clean the farm shed however.
