Maisonette Flat in Windsor
A spacious and well presented 1st floor maisonette flat in central Windsor, just a few minutes walk to the town centre. Consisting of private entrance, double bedroom, shower room, large open plan lounge/kitchen with sofa bed and large outdoor balcony. This is a spacious and airy maisonette flat with a bright open plan lounge/kitchen. On the rear aspect there is a lovely green view of the neighbouring gardens outside the bedroom window and at the front there's a south facing balcony, plenty large enough to lounge on whilst reading a book. The flat is on a quiet residential street with very light road traffic. The private entrance on the ground floor leads to the main living area of the flat via one flight of stairs. To the front of the building there is a large outdoor balcony accessible through French doors. To the rear there is a shower room and large double bedroom. Guests have use of the entire flat. I'm happy to help anyway I can and will be contactable on the phone throughout your stay. I can also advise on the local area including travel advice should you have any questions. Covid-19 For international travellers, or anyone self-isolating I am happy to help with restrictions you may encounter, for example, assisting with grocery deliveries. The flat is located only a few minutes walk from Windsor town centre. A historic market town located on the River Thames and about 20 miles west of the capital, London, Windsor is famous for being one of the official residences of the British Royal Family and attracts many visitors each year. One of the must see attractions in the town is Windsor Castle. The castle, open to visitors most of the year, is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 39 monarchs and today, it is one of Her Majesty's favorite residences. Windsor town centre has a range of shops and casual dining restaurants. Immediately adjacent to the town is Eton with it’s quaint High Street it is home to the famous Eton College. Nearby attractions include Legoland, Windsor Great Park and Savill Gardens, Runnymede, Cliveden, Dorneywood and Ascot Racecourse. Further afield and easily accessible by public transport are other historic towns and cities including Henley, Oxford, Bath and of course London. By Road Windsor is located just south of junction 6 of the M4 motorway. From there it's a few minutes travel to Windsor and my flat. By Rail There are two railway stations in Windsor, both within walking distance of my flat: Windsor & Eton Central (0.5 miles, about 9 minutes by foot) serving London Paddington; and Windsor & Eton Riverside (0.7 miles, about 13 minutes by foot) serving London Waterloo. Taxi ranks are also outside each station. Availability The listing shows the flat as available on a rolling 12 months period from today. Sofa Bed The brown sofa bed in the living room (shown in photographs) has recently been replaced by a much larger four-seat chaise sofa, which is also a sofa bed. The new sofa sleeps one large adult or two small adults/ children. The mattress width is 114 cm. Photographs of the new sofa will be uploaded as soon as possible. Parking Your Car Parking permits are required to park on the street. The three types of permit available are: - 24 hours of parking: £4 - 6 hours of parking: £2 - 2 hours of parking: £1 When you make a booking please please let me know how many of each permit you expect to use each month as well as the number of vehicles you intend to park. If during your stay you need more permits I can always provide a top up. At the end of your stay I can buy back any permits you haven’t used. For stays under 28 nights I'm happy to provide one 24 hour permit for free; or for stays over 28 nights your first week of permits for one vehicle for free. Further information: - The prices shown above are face value prices; - Whilst it’s officially a 24/7 controlled parking zone, it is very unlikely you will see any parking wardens early morning (before 8am) or in the evening (after 6pm); - Each permit provides a single period of parking which you can start any day/time you choose; - Finding a space on the street is rarely a problem as it’s a long street; - There is also 24/7 free parking on streets approximately 10 mins away by foot if you prefer to use this option some or all of the time. - Monday to Friday, between 08:30 am and 5:30 pm: parking for non permit holders is also possible for up two hours using on-street parking meters.
