The island is free of cars, surrounded by lush tropical palm, orange and olive trees and the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. Remote from outside world, Koločep is a refreshing break from the stress of city life and is devoted to providing you with a relaxing and revitalizing vacation. More information Kolocep has two small vilages Gornje Čelo and Donje Čelo. Old Croatian chapels and churches are scattered everywhere, and the ruins of medieval forts stand on every important stronghold of the island. Already the first encounter with the island of KoloČep cannot leave you unmoved. You will be intoxicated with the still calm, the scent of the Mediterranean plants and the intensity of the colours of the Adriatic. The beaches are sandy and pebble located in Gornje Čelo Bay. When you have been here once, you will always want to come back again. There are no cars on the island and most locals choose to get around by bicycle. When you arrive by boat (along with the daily newspapers and fresh bread!) you will find bicycles to rent by our family for one hour and the whole day . The small stone souvenir shop, and post office are all located in the port and the locals are all very friendly. Also in the port you will find cafes, restaurants as well as the one main shop that is well equipped with all necessary ingredients. As you go further along the riviera which stretches from the port around the bay to the Villa Ruža there are lounge bar and luxury restaurants. Feel the morning sun from the early start with a guided sea kayaking tour of Koločep Island or one of the other Elafiti Islands. See first hand the wonders of the mysterious underwater world, teeming with life, with a snorkelling or scuba diving excursion. Hike the marked trails of Koločep Island and discover Napoleon's fort and the 9th century churches. Swim in the crystal clear waters under towering white cliffs. Dubrovnik has an international airport of its own. It is located approximately 20 km from Dubrovnik city centre, near Čilipi. Buses connect the airport and neighbouring cities (Split, Mostar, Sarajevo, Kotor) with the main bus station in port of Gruž. However, Dubrovnik, unlike Croatia's other major centres, is not accessible by rail (the nearest train station is in Split). The A1 motorway, in use between Zagreb and Ploče, is planned to be extended all the way to Dubrovnik. From the airport in Dubrovnik you can take the airport shuttle bus. It costs 35 Kn. A taxi to Dubrovnik town costs about 300 kn. It takes about half an hour depending on traffic. The bus stops at the Pile gate by the Old City. If you are heading for the islands, stay on the bus and get off at the ferry pier in Gruž. The bus journey ends some 500 metres further down the road at the main bus station Gruž. The island of Koločep(Gornje Čelo where our Villa Seadream is situated can be reached by regular line with ship Europa(leaving the Port of Gruž-Dubrovnik across the open market in Port of Gruž at 0630,11(except Monday and Friday) and 18 30.On Saturday and Sunday ship goes at 9 instad of 0630 .Tickets can be bought on the ship after departure.There is also regular line with "Jadrolinija "ship Postira to Donje Čelo 25 minutes walking to our house)The ship sails four times a day , except on Sundays and holidays when she sails twice per day (in July and August four times a day throughout the week). Tickets to the island Koločep can be bought at the "Jadrolinja" office, just opposite the main pier in Port of Gruž Koločep is car free. In case you are arriving by car, you can leave your car in Dubrovnik port parking (24 hours safe parking with price circa eight euro per day). This property has free mooring for the boat. Linen and towels are provided. Iron and ironing board will be at guests' disposal. Check in is from 2. 00 PM and check out is till 11.00 AM. No smoking in apartments only on terracce. It is not allowed to call friends into the apartment and on terrace,one visit is OK. Noise is not allowed,keep silience from 23.00 in the evening to 8.00 in the morning.
