A great village location because it is easy to find south of Bath, shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes by car through rolling countryside. There is free parking next to house. There are frequent buses to and from Bath too. Great value, clean and tidy. Relax after a busy day. I will meet you when you get here. Local supermarkets and takeaways are nearby. Guests have commented on the quick and easy drive through stunning countryside to the centre of Bath in 15 minutes by car. If you don't have a car there is a good bus service a short walk away. Comfortable rooms furnished with lamp, bedside table, cupboard or wardrobe, chair and mirror. Guests have exclusive use of the bathroom. Plus useful things to make your stay comfortable: kettle, a variety of teas and coffees, M&S toiletries, hair dryer, heating, blankets, and cushions, new bedding covers and towels. Sightseeing leaflets and books. I offer a light breakfast that will include quality croissants, toast, cereal, juice, teas and coffees. Separate mugs, cutlery and plates are for guests use. I offer a friendly welcome to my home that is in a safe residential area. Opposite are a few houses and wonderful farmland views. Guests have commented that my home is relaxing and the quiet location offers a good night's sleep. The beds are comfortable too!! Perfect for visiting Bath, Stonehenge, Frome, Longleat, Salisbury, Avebury, Priston Mill, Wellow, Tyntesfield and Bristol. Enjoy hiking, rambling, running and cycling through lovely countryside. There is a conservatory for guests use during summer months. It overlooks the enclosed quiet garden. Can provide dinner, from the Cook company, given advance notice at a charge. If I am available I am happy to take you sightseeing or on local country walks. I can provide a homemade cooked dinner - at an extra charge of £8 pp. I provide a light breakfast and will do gluten free or lactose free and vegan but please let me know in advance. I am very happy to chat over breakfast. Happy to show you the local area on foot. This is an excellent village location. Quiet countryside. Comfortable. Residential. No more than 15 minutes to the centre of Bath by car. (some occasional traffic) On the edge of Bath is Odd Down park and ride so you won't have to find parking in Bath. Bus stop five minutes walk away from my home. There is an good bus service to and from Bath. Stonehenge, Avebury, Priston, Long Barrow, Wellow, Wells, Longleat, Bristol, Salisbury, Wells, Frome, Lacock and Shepton Mallet. Set on the edge of a village with views of farmland my home is in a quiet, safe residential area but with the benefit of traditional stone houses, countryside and good pub food in the surrounding villages. There is one parking space directly next to the house which is a great benefit. There is extra free parking for more than one car in the adjacent road. There are several buses that will take you into the centre of Bath or out to the local towns and villages. Frome is not far away. It has pretty shops on hilly streets and a vintage market. Longleat Safari Park, Centre Parks, Salisbury and Stonehenge are all about an hour away. The historical city of Wells with its stunning cathedral is a 40 minutes. Cats live here. My place is not suitable for people who have a severe cat allergy. The cats are kept out of the bedrooms. You probably won't see them except in the mornings. In the hot weather, if sleeping with the window open, there will be the sound of occasional traffic. Most guests eat out in Bath, but if you are planning to cook in my kitchen, please let me know. I do not have a microwave. Your stay will be surrounded by stunning countryside. There are some great pubs (Wellow, Timsbury, Combe Hay, Monkton Combe and Midford) and country walks minutes away. Perfect for cycling and hiking in hilly scenery. A trip into Bath is recommended. Your room will have leaflets of places for sightseeing.
