Montecosaro is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The most striking monument of Montecosaro is the Romanesque basilica of Santa Maria at the foot of Chienti, or Santissima Annunziata, which is located in Montecosaro Scalo. It is considered one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture. The sanctuary of Loreto, the beautiful Conero Riviera with the renowned beaches of Porto Recanati, Numana and Sirolo and the city of Macerata with its famous historical monuments are easily reachable in just 30 minutes by car. You climb in just over an hour to the unspoiled views of the Monti Sibillini National Park and the suggestive Frasassi Caves.
