15 minutes to VT, easy access to 460 By-Pass and I-81. Private entrance with keyless entry for self check-in. Studio has lots of natural light, all new appliances, flooring and furniture. Five minutes to shopping and restaurants. Located in quiet neighborhood, near end of Cul-du-sac. LED TV, and Blu-Ray player. Yard .can be set up for events (summer time). We are Always glad to meet new friends! Pricing inclusive for local and county taxes. Star Watch was a working art studio and gallery and now as our guest house. There are many original and unique art works throughout the room - some for sale. The studio is separate from the main residence, offering privacy to our guests and a picturesque view of Price's Mountain. The adjacent wooded lot provides habitat for many beautiful song-birds and wood-peckers. The occasional coal train rumbles through the valley below on its way to historic Narrows, VA. Guests have full private access to the studio - parking in on the street near the studio (has sidewalk). If we have an event or outing planned, guest will usually be invited. If coordinated in advance, we'll be glad to work with guests for private parties, BBQs, or movie viewing in our Home Theater with 183 inch screen and Dolby 7.1 sound system. Ed is an award winning Dutch Oven chef and is always glad to demonstrate and share cooking techniques. Our home and Star Watch are on a quiet street that ends in a cul-de-sac with little traffic. We are close to shopping and universities but our proximity to the woods and mountains makes it feel like we're in the country. Public transit (intracity-bus) is within 1.5 miles from the studio. Amtrack recently opened connection to Roanoke (40 minutes away). Roanoke airport is closest air-link and is 40 minutes away. Guests please park parallel to the street in our yard in front of the tree line, then enter the back-yard through a gate to the studio. The yard is well lit for nighttime arrivals and departures. We do have pet dogs - Mocha and Koko are a friendly once they get to know you. When guests are present, we close off part of the yard.
