Gorgeous home from home in heart of Royal Deeside
Rowanbank is a spacious, bright, and welcoming property based in Royal Deeside situated in a leafy quiet street in the heart of Banchory. Local shops, restaurants, golf courses, castles, and the stunning River Dee are in walking distance. The house is a 'home from home' with two log fires, spacious enclosed garden, three beautiful en-suite bedrooms, roll top bath, BBQ, smart TV’s, XBox 360. Sleeps 7 adults or 6 adults and 2 children. Rowanbank is a perfect holiday home in a fantastic location. The whole property, house and gardens, is for the sole use of guests. This lovely home and location has all you need for a relaxing, or action packed holiday, and is a deceptively spacious, modern and well equipped house. All three bedrooms are en-suite, and the master bedroom has a beautiful four-poster super king sized bed. There are two living areas both with log fires - one off the open plan spacious kitchen and another in a separate living room. Lots of comfy beds, roll top bath, power showers, and plenty of accessories will help you have that perfect holiday. Equipment for children such as travel cot, high chair, stroller, Xbox360, and toys are also available for guests. Both rooms for children have blackout blinds to help you and you’re little ones sleep well too! There is also plenty of secure and private outdoor garden space with BBQ, dining area, fire pit and some garden toys. Well behaved dogs welcome and house comes equipped with dog flap :) Parking on large secure private drive is available for 2-3 cars. The garden has gates and is completely secure for children or dogs. There is a big front and back garden laid to lawn and with decked and patio areas. Well behaved dogs are more than welcome for a small £20 fee for extra cleaning which can be left in the honesty jar. The high street is a short walk downhill and has lots of carry outs, pubs, and shops. There are loads of walks and beautiful surroundings like Crathes castle close to the house. There is a short hill walk back up to the house from the high street and if you would prefer to take the car the very short distance there is lots of parking in the village. We are happy to provide support or advice to guests as needed as best as we can. We live in the same village so can help with any unexpected issues, but the house is there for your sole use as a detached property. Family members available to babysit (or dog sit!) in evenings if needed so you can enjoy some deserved some time out. The house is based in the heart of Banchory based in Royal Deeside. It is 5 minutes walk from the Main Street which has pubs, cafes and boutique shops. Banchory has the river Dee, fishing, parks, famous castles, golf courses and miles of beautiful walks right on your doorstep. There is also a brand new sports centre with large pool, gym, and sports courts in the village. Once a week on a Wednesday early evening you might be lucky enough to hear the local pipe band practice at the nearby British Legion! There is a farmers market in the village the first Saturday of the month. The local co-op, takeaways, cafes and all important specialist drinks shop is a 5-7 minute walk from the house. Crathes castle Is also located next to the village of Banchory. The beautiful village of Stonehaven is also about 30minutes drive away and has an outdoor saltwater pool, lots of lovely cafes and don’t forget to visit Auntie Betty’s ice cream shop on the beach front. There is lots of places listed in the guide book. You can walk to the gorgeous River Dee, the beautiful Falls of Feugh, park, local hotels, cafes and pubs. There is a short 5 minute walk back uphill to the house form the Main Street which is steep in parts. There is plenty of parking in the village should you choose to take your car to get around. If you don’t want to drive to get around there is a bus stop a few minutes walk from the house which can take you into Aberdeen city, the beaches in Aberdeen, or in the other direction toward Balmoral Castle and picturesque Braemar. Due to covid we are asking all guest to have done a lateral flow test, and let us know they are all negative, on the day of arrival. Week bookings from Saturday to Saturday preferred but shorter stays of 4 nights or more welcome out with main summer holidays. Lots of small touches like some logs for the two log fires, candles, dry kitchen ingredients, bread machine, Xbox360, high chair, travel cot, push chair, toddler bed, towels, dog bows etc are all provided for you. You also have a large sunny south facing garden with fire pit, bbq, and garden furniture. For those colder winter nights we have two lovely log fires.
