Cosy, spacious apartment with great views

This is a penthouse apartment (fourth floor with lift) situated on the Malvern Road cafe strip. It is set back from the road with uninterrupted views from the balcony that spans the length of the apartment and gives plenty of natural light. Pop across the road for wood fire pizzas at The Pizza Gallery, all day meals and coffee at Mister Foxx, or do a quick grocery shop. Get into the city centre within 30 minutes via train or the number 72 tram stop both just a few minutes walk away. We have travelled extensively around the world and have just relocated back to Melbourne after 10 years in London. We've stayed in a lot of Airbnbs (over 20) and many hotels over the years. So we wanted to create an apartment that combined some of the best amenities and comforts that have made our holidays feel more special. We have created a home away from home that is well equipped for a relaxing, comfortable stay. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, appliances and cookware so if you don't want to venture out to try the surrounding cafes and restaurants, you will be well equipped to make your own meals. We also have a toddler so we know the added complications that kids can bring when travelling! Our apartment is suited to young families, couples and business travellers alike. Guests have access to the entire apartment and a secure parking space in the basement is included. We live just around the corner so we make ourselves available as much as possible and always contactable by phone. As seasoned Airbnb travellers, we personally prefer to check in by ourselves so there will be a lockbox with keys on arrival but we are more than happy to meet you at check in if you prefer! The neighbourhood is, in our opinion one of the best in Melbourne! It has a friendly, family atmosphere, plenty of parks and the Harold Holt swimming pool within a few minutes walk, many great quality cafes and restaurants to try, and so easy to get into the city centre, just 30 minutes by train or tram door to door. We love living in this area! The 72 tram is a 15 second walk from the building (Stop 48 - Edgar Street) which will get you straight into the city centre (Flinders Street Station and Melbourne University) or to Camberwell which will get you into the vicinity of some fantastic eating and shopping areas in Hawthorn East including St Cloud Eating House, and the retro Rivoli Village Cinemas. There is a double sofa bed in the living room for 1-2 extra people upon request. If you are travelling with an infant we can supply a high chair, a travel cot and bedding, a baby bath, and a box of toys for those 6am starts!
