This cosy cottage is ideal for those who want to retreat from the humble-bumble of every day life in an authentic, luxurious setting. You can enjoy peace and quiet, silence and nature in the "Lutje Hoeske", situated in Tinallinge, a beautiful little mound village on the great Groninger countryside. The nice town of Groningen and the Waddenzee are both close by. This beautiful cottage, the "Lutje Hoeske", is situated in Tinallinge, a small village on a “terp” ( an artificial mound) on the impressive Groninger countryside. Since we have bought the former Poorhouse in the 90-ies, it is completely restored, carefully preserving the authentic exterior. Inside are also beautiful old elements, which we‘ve combined with modern comfort. The cottage is tastefully decorated to match the historic value. It is ideal for those who want to enjoy nature, silence, peace and quiet, in an authentic setting. The ground floor has a living room (with double sofa bed for 2 persons ), a small, fully equipped nostalgic kitchen, a lavish bathroom with an antique bathtub, modern sauna and steam bath (Turkish bath ) and a separate toilet. The upper floor has a spacious romantic bedroom with a double bed. There is a spacious, sheltered south-facing terrace with lazy chairs and a dining table. The restoration of our lovely house is now complete, and we are happy to offer the “Lutje Hoeske” for rent, to enable you to enjoy this unique place. The Lutje Hoeske is fully at the disposal of our guests. This also means that our guests have their own sauna and steam bath. . The beautiful, intimate courtyard with dining table, sun umbrella and two lounge chairs is also exclusively to be used by our guests. The Lutje Hoeske is a detached house with a private entrance and with access to the small courtyard next to it. Because it to a dead-end street only the landlords will pass sometimes.They will not always be present. Tinallinge is very special: an unspoilt northern Groninger village of 20 houses and farm-buildings clustered around the old church, timeless and green, imbedded in peace and quiet. Tinallinge is situated 20 km. north of the city of Groningen, 6 km as the crow flies south of the Wadden Sea. It is located on the Groningen “Hoogeland”, the impressive countrysitde with its great historic farms: vast estates with magnificent views, small forgotten “terp” villages and small winding streams. There are numerous bike/excursion possibilities. • The beautiful village of Eenrum has a clog factory and a mustard dairy: both of which can be visited. • The seal sanctuary in Pieterburen is well known. • A delicious lunch at the beautiful Reitdiep in Garnwerd a welcome change • Warffum has an open-air museum and • the "heerendorp" Usquert beautiful houses of the architect Berlage. • Look also to the monumental farmhouses everywhere! and all this within 15 km cycling distance! Beyond that: * A day trip to one of the West Frisian Islands is very nice and * a visit to the city of Groningen is simple: the station is 1.5 km from the "Lutje Hoeske", in less than half an hour, you are on the main market square. Transport: public transport, the trainstation is at a dsitance of 1.5 km. You can park your car next to the Lutje Hoeske. or at the church. It is a little bit more than two hours drive from Schiphol Airport. The sauna and the steam bath are exclusive for the guests of the Lutje Hoeske.
