The Spreading Oak B&B - 1 bedroom rural escape
The Spreading Oak welcomes guests for whom a comfortable queen size bed would suit. Within walking distance of the town centre. Guests have their own entrance. (A single bedroom is also available.) The guest bedrooms and bathroom lead off a private passage. The enclosed deck is a great venue for breakfast, reading or just relaxing. Access to the deck is via the main bedroom, providing views of the back garden which is home to the spreading oak, chickens and Phoebus the cat. The queen size sofa bed was bought with comfort in mind. It is Danish designed and has deep pocket springs. All bedding is of good quality and includes an electric blanket. The room has a reverse cycle unit for heating and cooling. There is a wardrobe and shelving for personal belongings. Free Wi-Fi is available. The room has a TV, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. A microwave oven and toaster are also available. While Covid 19 remains a concern, breakfast ingredients: fresh orange juice, cereals, sourdough bread for toasting, butter and homemade marmalade/jam will be placed in the fridge . (Please advise any special dietary requirements & preference for white/brown bread and full cream/fat reduced milk when booking.) Also available is a small single room (see separate listing). The Spreading Oak offers off street parking on driveway, allowing access to carport. There is a covered area to store bicycles. Accommodation is to the rear of the house and is self-contained. An enclosed deck adjoins the main room, a perfect spot to relax. Books and games are available for your enjoyment. On arrival, please come to the front door. On arrival please come to the front door. Yea has a variety of eating venues and information on what to see and do in the area can be found at the Y Water Discovery Centre. Some information leaflets can be found in the main room. As public transport to Yea is limited, independent transport is the best option. There are four steps to guest entrance with a handrail. Unfortunately, it has become necessary to request prospective guests to be fully vaccinated and to cancel booking if feeling unwell.
