The Studio is not a Studio in the accepted understanding. It was a music studio for a boy band that vacated in 2001. It has a bedroom, shower room kitchen and sitting area as illustrated in the photographs. You can park right outside. When we built this addition, it was for a different purpose. Originally we thought it would be a good granny flat, but granny thought otherwise. We then extended it and our son's band lived and jammed in it for a year or so around 2000, until they went their separate ways, hence the slightly odd light switch placements. We converted it once again to make it habitable for family members and had the bright idea of also listing it on Airbnb. The space is self contained and separate from the main house. The outside area has car parking and access to the garden is welcome. Perhaps the space is enough for a couple with small children though we usually let it to couples. We do have a travel cot and high chair as some of the time it is occupied by close family members. We live in Gwernhydfron and will meet you and show you around the Studio and be available for assistance and advice if necessary. Wi-fi is available, and at the moment it appears to work reasonably well in the Studio. There is ample of off road parking. Llanddowror is a small and quiet village that has over the years suffered the loss of many of its business and recreational facilities. The church is pretty well the only remnant of what was once a thriving community. Once upon a time there were multiple shops, school, flour mill/bakery, numerous public houses, blacksmith, and post office. They have all gone, still that's the story of many such rural communities. Welsh was the main village language when I grew up, but there are few who use it daily anymore. Public transport is available, but if you managed to get here, then you would not choose to use the bus even though it passes through the village a couple of times a day. It takes about an hour by bus to Carmarthen as it uses a scenic route through a number of similar small villages. The A477 ran through the village until 2014, but it now bypasses Llanddowror, but is easily accessible in a minute or so. This is an ideal spot for access to the three counties that together form Dyfed. These are Carmarthen, Pembroke and Cardigan. There are many castles around with perhaps the best kept being Pembroke which was the birthplace of Henry VII and the home of the Tudors. We are within striking distance of both the Fishguard and Pembroke ferries to Ireland.
