Rustic Getaway for Two

Down a long driveway is a very quiet, cosy and private Guesthouse in sunny Waitara. It is a comfortable, large self-contained unit with wifi, off-street parking, washing machine, full kitchen including a microwave plus lounge space (which will sleep 1 extra adult on the sofa). New Plymouth city is only 15 minutes away to experience all the options for dining and entertainment. This is a small house divided by partitions into bedroom, bathroom/laundry and kitchen/living space. It is set in a private patio garden with its own car park right outside the door. Dream on a comfortable double bed or curl up on the plush couch to watch TV. While ideally suited for couples, a third person can comfortably sleep here. There is plenty of space in the kitchen to heat up takeaways, make coffee or even cook a roast dinner. Park in one of the 2 spaces directly outside the unit. Entrance is via the side door. We are often staying nearby when the gardens need attention but if not there are likely to be other guests staying in the house. If there is anything you need to contact us about we are only a phone call away. The neighbourhood is rural and quiet with plenty of bird life. There are free-range eggs further up the road with an honesty-box system of payment. You would need a car to get around from this location and getting anywhere is pretty quick along State Highway 3. For events where you would prefer someone else to drive there is a local Uber service available. The airport shuttle can drop off and collect you for flights and a local bus timetable is in the Guesthouse manual. Heating is by an electric panel heater and the bed has an electric blanket with extra blankets should you need them. lf you need the couch space for an extra person there are single sheets and a duvet on the bedroom shelving. The adjacent house is available for bookings and there may be other guests staying there. The buildings are far enough away from each other to ensure complete privacy during your stay. Please be considerate of the neighbours as it is a quiet neighbourhood. For grocery shopping the Waitara New World is 5 minutes away but note that it closes at 8pm. The Waitara Bin Inn is a foodie heaven you may want to check out with Artisan cheeses, many gluten-free and vegetarian ingredients and delicatessen specialties.
