Rowan Shepherds Hut. We are delighted to be able to offer this most beautiful Shepherds Hut. Named Rowan and located on the edge of Minto conservation village. She commands the most amazing views across the Teviot valley and beyond to the extinct Volcano called Ruberslaw. Rowan is five star luxury when it comes to Shepherds huts. Beautiful appointed inside with six foot wide super king size bed, fresh towels and bedding, stove , furnished with antiques and collectibles , oven , microwave , kettle, toaster , electric heating , free kiln dried hardwood logs for the stove . Separate wash room with shower , loo, basin , fridge . Rowan also boasts its own tavern style bar in the adjacent building where there is a range of beers all available by donation .Rowans veranda makes you feel like you are on top of the world with some of the finest views in the south of Scotland. Local amenities, stunning golf course nest door, pubs, restaurant, butchers, petrol station, cafes , fishing , fantastic walking and hiking opportunities, historic monuments. Tweedbank railway station 15 minutes away . Rowan Hut is situated in private grounds , Rowan is warm and very well insulated , two forms of heating . Built and decorated to a very high standard, guests will have their own paddock , parking , private wash room , huge veranda and boasts its own tavern bar . Rowans stunning views and quirkiness will make your stay an absolute pleasure . Unlike any other we strived to make this particular Hut into a luxury glamping experience. We challenge you to find another Hut like her . Remember Clean towels and bedding included . The Bathroom is private and exclusive to the Rowan Hut . Well behaved dogs are welcome, there is a £10 extra charge per dog , (payable upon arrival ) this covers extra cleaning of muddy paws and hair . Please bring firefighters although sometimes there are some left over from previous guests. Wood for Firepit is available and costs £10 a sack BBQ ( though guest is advised to bring charcoal . Strictly no BBQs or fire pit on or near the veranda . Picnic area Bar is now bring your own beer , we do not stock the bar. Please note that during summer months we encourage two night minimum stays at the weekend, and may refuse a one night booking enquiry . Due to Covid-19 Please allow extra time for cleaning, huts are usually ready from 1pm but bare with us if it’s a little later . If you are unsure about checkin times please call before you arrive . Remember we have a fantastic similar hut in the same grounds, if you are a party of four why not rent two huts together and make the place yours. Owner lives on site so please call or email one hour before arrival to be greeted and shown around . One mile from bus route , car advised, train station 15 minutes away . Ok so we have provided a six foot wide super king size bed , perfect for two large adults and wide enough for a child in between if you don't mind sharing . From April 2020 we require two night bookings at the weekend including Fridays and Saturday only.
