The Woodlands Bungalow is a 3 bed, 2 bath remodeled home nestled at the base of Lookout Mountain in quaint Rising Fawn, GA. Our quiet serene home has the right amount of modern touches to make it feel fresh and new without losing any of its old world charm. Set in a private wooded area on a seasonal babbling brook, ideal location to relax or explore all the area has to offer - from hiking and picnics in Cloudland Canyon to the incredible shopping and dining in Chattanooga. Woodlands Bungalow is nestled at the bottom of Lookout Mountain in quaint Rising Fawn, Georgia, and is a central location to many adventures––just 3 miles to the Alabama state line and about 12 miles to the Tennessee state line! Whether you are a family looking for adventure, a couple looking for romance, a group of friends looking for shopping, great food and fun, you’ll find it near Woodlands Bungalow! Hike and picnic in Cloudland Canyon State Park or Desoto Falls State Park- both just a 15 minute drive! Watch the hang gliders coast in and land from Lookout Mountain (or plan an adventure and try it yourself)! Plan a yoga retreat at Rising Fawn Gardens. Go antiquing and thrift shopping (Woodlands Bungalow is right on the path of US Antique Alley Yard Sale held every May). Venture into Chattanooga (~20ish minute drive) for amazing shopping, food, Chattanooga Aquarium, The Chattanooga Zoo, Rock City, Ruby Falls, The Chattanooga Choo Choo and so much more! Your options are virtually endless, and at the end of the day, you’ll return to your quiet and spacious bungalow for an evening of relaxation! This is a perfect space for a quiet weekend, an excellent writer’s retreat or just to get away and relax in our bungalow in a beautiful wooded setting. Situated on a quiet, wooded lot, this private home with dedicated parking was built in the 1940s and has been updated with modern touches while retaining the quaintness of its original charm. The master bedroom includes a king bed and private en-suite bathroom. A second bedroom includes a comfortable queen bed, and a third smaller bedroom includes a twin bed and writer’s desk. These two rooms share a large, full guest bathroom with two sinks and a bathtub with shower. Kids will love the secret passage connecting these two bedrooms (hint: it’s through the closet). The quaint kitchen includes the basics you need for cooking a simple meal. Please note, there is no dishwasher. The open dining room offers plenty of space at the large farmhouse table for eating a meal or playing games, working puzzles or enjoying time with family and friends. The spacious living room includes a TV for entertainment and a gas-logs fireplace for cozy evenings reading by the fire. There is also a screened-in porch which is perfect to enjoy for reading, coffee in the mornings or just to enjoy the view! In addition, we have a great outdoor space and picnic area with a fire pit and complimentary wood. There are also horseshoes and several other games. This area is always a guest favorite! We live just beyond Woodlands Bungalow (further up the drive) and we are happy to assist guests as needed/preferred with itineraries, directions and recommendations. Additional detail will be provided with check-in information! We are in a rural area, about 10 minutes off I-59. Our home is on a quiet, wooded lot! We are in Rising Fawn, GA about 10 minutes from Cloudland Canyon State Park and also about 6 minutes from Trenton, GA.( 2 chain grocery stores, fast food etc) DOG FRIENDLY We have new fiber optic internet! We have SMART TV There is no dishwasher. There's cozy gas log fireplace for the indoor fireplace. There is a large yard and picnic area, complete with rustic chandelier and fire pit!
