Enjoy the comfort of a well appointed and tastefully furnished home with botanical views onto a very private, fully fenced garden. Sun-drenched lounge and living areas open out to a sheltered north-facing patio with outdoor dining and lounging spaces. Separate library/private living room with reading chairs and a writing desk also available. People from all backgrounds welcome. Get a great nights sleep in the super comfortable queen sized bed in a light and peaceful room, that fills with sunshine in the mornings. Room in the wardrobe to hang clothes, plus a chair in room for your use. Additional storage is available in the library if you have large cases etc. You are welcome to make use of any spaces in the house, including the lounge and living areas, plus a private library with plenty of books to read, magazines to flick through, and a desk/workspace in case you need to catch up on work or correspondence. There are many areas of the house to sit and relax, and all are designed to make you feel at home. Relax with a nice cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the relaxed, calm, easy atmosphere. Happy to help out with recommendations on what to do and how best to get around during your stay, so that you can enjoy all the sights and experiences the North Canterbury and Christchurch region has to offer. Quiet residential neighbourhood on the outer fringes of Christchurch, with a mix of families, working professionals, and retirees. The neighbourhood is well known for it's established gardens, street plantings of cherry trees, and beautiful public parks and community spaces. Easy vehicle access to Christchurch city which is only a 15-minute car drive on the motorway. Bus options are good, with bus-stops only a short walk away and regular buses into Christchurch and beyond. Easy access to State Highway 1 going north if you are travelling in that direction. Feel free to make friends with Elsie, my very friendly and nosey cat! I live alone so the house is very quiet and peaceful. Guests are welcome to help themselves to tea and coffee at any time.
