With a fourposter bed this is a romantic retreat. On a private lane so no passing traffic disturbs guests.Included is a 49" 4K Smart TV with Netflix, wifi, Amazon Echo (Alexa), electricity/ heating, and a welcome pack with wine. On site fishing is just for our guests. Front garden with seating, plus a rear roofed deck. Wildlife abounds and the sunsets are stunning. A sanctuary offering peace, tranquility, and rural views. The owners and their cats live nearby should you have queries etc. Please note: Due to the pandemic some changes to our property have taken place. If you have been to this listing before or are a returning guest, please note that Di does not do holistic treatments, nor have any face to face contact with our guests. Keys are left in a lock box and the property is sanitised before you arrive DVDs and magazines have not been removed, but sanitising wipes are provided for you to use before and after use. We also regret that guests cannot have friends visit in view of the extra risk, and only guests whose names are registered with us may enter the property. Honeysuckle Hideaway is a detached, 1870s converted barn that offers luxurious bespoke accommodation in the heart of the Devon countryside with its own fishing pond for guests’ use and uninterrupted, far-reaching rural views. It is on a private lane, so there is no passing traffic and none of the usual distractions of traffic and urban hubbub. The cottage is completely self-contained, and our own house is just a short stroll away should you need us during your stay. There is ample parking next to the property and the view is uninterrupted over rolling fields. At the rear, there is a roofed deck. This offers an intimate and cosy space in which to relax and take in the quiet ambience of the Devon countryside as the sun goes down while having a leisurely meal. This area overlooks the field where there is a private fishing pond for the sole use of our guests, and wildlife that we have seen includes Canada geese, heron, deer, pheasants, and innumerable birds. The cottage has been laid out with a relaxed feel and, we hope, with homely touches to make you feel like this is your home for a while and not soulless, impersonal holiday accommodation. We try our best to offer touches that will make you feel comfortable and enable you to enjoy the secluded, unique environment that we have created in this glorious part of Devon. We will have put together a basket of welcoming goodies for you that comes with our compliments, including a bottle of wine, and there will be toiletries for your use. We offer this detached barn conversion as a place of sanctuary where you can enjoy good times without the pressure of modern life, in the slow laid-back lifestyle of the West Country - hopefully making memories that you can enjoy and look back on. Obviously Honeysuckle Hideaway comes with all the modern necessities of life such as central heating, Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs with Netflix, Amazon Echoes, books. Guests have sole use of the cottage, with own adjacent parking and use of fishing pond in the field behind, which is for the sole use of guests. Your hosts live on site and are available to offer any help and assistance. The cottage is in the heart of rural Devon, on a private lane (so no passing traffic), with its own fishing pond. The only neighbours being another barn conversion 30ft away, and the hosts' house. It is only 10 minutes from the M5 so gives easy access to all areas for touring. Visitors are recommended to have a car as there is only one daily bus at the end of the lane going to Honiton.
