Nature on Nemarluk, a classic Darwin Elevated home

Experience true Darwin living staying in an old style elevated home centrally located just 8 mins from the CBD, 7 mins from Darwin airport. Overlooking Melaleuca's and Mangroves, you can take a walk in nature or simply sit on the deck and watch birds and the light change in the sky. You will have the entire elevated space in the house including a beautiful spacious deck perfect for relaxing with a book or watching the sky. 3 comfy bedrooms all with garden views, fully equipped kitchen, open living space. This open styled house connects you with the outdoors so nature is ever present, including the noises, you will be serenaded by Orange Footed Scrub Fowl (Bush chooks) and green tree frogs. Being an open to the outdoors house, the outdoors may find their way inside on occassion . One of the wonderful aspects of tropical living! Guest have the entire elevated space and can access pool and garden. We live in the downstairs space which is self- contained. We share the gate entrance with guests. Guest access their space by the front stairs. We both work and often go camping during the dry so will keep a low profile at the property. We will be available by phone and email to assist guest with anything they require. The space is located in a suburban neighbourhood close to picturesque Fannie Bay, with beautiful Bundilla Beach, East Point reserve and the popular Sailing club, Trailor Boat club, Ski club and Darwin Turf Club all nearby. The house is typical of others in the area however has a unique aspect of overlooking a paperback forest and Mangroves. The local land care group has established walking tracks you can explore. Public transport ( bus) is a short (hot) walk away. Having a car is recommended as walking during the day can be exhausting. Neuron bicycles (electric) are available to hire as a fun transport option to get home from the CBD and some visitors hire scooters to get around. We do have a friendly dog, cat and chickens. The dog loves hosting guests so if you are not comfortable with the occasional lick this may not be the best choice for you. If the chickens are happy, you may be the recipients of fresh eggs! As with most older homes it can have a few quirks, while clean and comfy, it is still a work in progress.
