The House A two story home overlooking the south end of Keuka Lake in Hammondsport, NY…voted the COOLEST SMALL TOWN IN AMERICA! This was a Hammondsport General Store back in the 1800’s. It is now a renovated, professional office on the first floor owned and run by the Airbnb Hosts. GUESTS WILL HAVE THE ENTIRE SECOND FLOOR TO THEMSELVES. NO ONE ELSE WILL BE IN THE HOUSE. THE PROFESSIONAL OFFICE ON THE FIRST FLOOR IS CLOSED ON THE WEEKENDS. Guests will be alone and can enjoy privacy, peace and quiet for the entire stay! The Studio The second floor is a studio apartment with a king size bed, kitchenette (microwave, Keurig, refrigerator and prep area), smart TV, WIFI, cable, AC/heat and a full bath. The guests need to be able to climb approximately 15 interior stairs to the studio. There is a large picture window in the front of the room which has spectacular views of Keuka Lake, the park, and the historic Railroad Station Depot. The Outside Entrance to the studio is in the back of the house, which has a keyless entry for your convenience. There’s a picnic table on the premises for your use. RULES Noise limitations during the office hours of 8 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday. Shopping & Dining This Airbnb is one block from the Hammondsport Village Square. It’s a 2 minute walk from the restaurants and stores. You can also enjoy lakeside dining at several restaurants around the lake. There is a small grocery store in town and a liquor store as well. Wineries/Breweries/Distilleries/Cideries The Finger Lakes Region is known for its beautiful scenery with sprawling vineyards and for producing excellent wines; especially world-renowned Rieslings. Breweries are growing in popularity and popping up all over the area, as are cideries and distilleries. Entertainment/Attractions Glenn H. Curtiss Museum Finger Lakes Boating Museum Keuka State Park Boating, Swimming, Fishing, Hiking Directly across the street is breathtaking Keuka Lake were you can swim at the public park, fish, and rent boats, kayaks, waverunners, SUP boards, etc… The Finger Lakes Region not only boasts its outdoor, water activities, but it also provides a variety of hiking options with the Finger Lakes Trail, Watkins Glen State Park, Keuka Lake State Park and many more. Take some time to visit and enjoy the impressive and stunning gorges and waterfalls. Check-in/Check-out time: Check-in time will be anytime after 3 pm and check-out time will be 10 am. Check-out Instructions: Do not make the bed, as we will be stripping the bed to clean the sheets. Keyless Door Instructions: Keyless door code will be provided prior to check-in. Parking Information: There will be parking provided in the driveway of the Airbnb for one car. We provide all bedding (sheets, pillows, blanket & comforter) and also towels.
