Old stone cottage in the middle of the olive trees

We are Daan, Leentje and Juulke. A young Belgian family with a passion for adventure. As avid travelers, it was only a normal step to open a guesthouse where people can feel at home in a place far away from home. We found this beautiful 200 year old house in April 2017 in the middle of the olive trees in the region of Alvaiazere, Central Portugal. Let you be our first guest to step into the story of Ti' Ladeira. Together we can make it great for fellow travellers! This room overlooks the garden.This room is finished with the original old stone with which the house was built. The bathroom is next to the bedroom and is shared with one other room (if booked). In the room a place is provided to store all your bathroom items. Towels and sleep covers are included. The towels are not replaced daily. If you like to have new ones, they can be asked to us. We also try to think a bit about nature. Breakfast (included) consists of a mix of regional products such as local cheeses, meats and jams, but also the more well-known types of spreads. Eggs can be prepared on demand and as long as the chickens can follow they are free range. Of course there is a choice between coffee, tea, water and fruit juice. On a few evenings a week you can put your feet under the table for a family meal. This will be communicated during breakfast. You then let us know if you are interested or prefer to eat outdoors. We provide us with local wine and beers so you do not necessarily have to find a cafe if you feel like it. Tips about the environment and activities can always be obtained from us. We are happy to help you to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. Ti 'Ladeira is a small-scale tourism stay in a purely typical Portuguese setting. Located on the 'Caminho de Santiago de Compostella' with delightful little paved roads with olive trees and old fairytale oak forests. Ideal for a small evening walk or long hikes. We can provide you with all the tips. Would you like to seclude yourself in the garden and relax? Or would you like to share a glass with the other guests? Travel and vacation are concepts that have a different meaning for each individual. We like to create an atmosphere where all guests feel good. In our area you can eat out, but you prefer to stay on our yard then you can put your feet under the table and enjoy a delicious homemade meal. Our environment has a lot to offer. We are located between Coimbra and Tomar. Both certainly worth a visit. Ancient Roman sites, relics of the Templars, walks in nature. We also have a lot for the sports enthusiast. Or you can just quietly drink a coffee 'Bica' in our village (five minutes drive) and enjoy a typical Portuguese life from a terrace. A refreshing dive? You have a choice between river beaches or a quiet spot on the lake. All this at a 15 minute drive. Driving here is a pleasure, no crowds and a beautiful view. We provide a plunge pool that is large enough to have a few strokes in. Ideal for children or overheated parents. The seaside is one hour from our house, ideal for a day trip.
