Spacious 3-Room-House, 120 sq.m.

Slow down and take it easy. The property is located in an old farmhouse. Max. occupancy 7 adults, 1 child, 2 toddlers. Hallau is located in the countryside on the German border between the Black Forest and Lake Constance. It is an advantage to travel by car, but public transport is also available. In three minutes walk bus station, grocery store, bakery, butcher, post office and bank can be reached. We are kid friendly, non-smokers, not keep pets IN the house. We wash and clean with ecological. The house offers a spacious layout over a total of 120 square meters. There is a dining room, a large kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Entrance area: Down in the entrance area there is enough space for shoes and stroller. On the 1st floor there is the dining room with the sofa and the children books, the large kitchen with children's play kitchen and the bedroom with the toys. There we offer a bed (140x200), in addition we have a baby travel cot which can be set up if necessary. For larger groups there are also 2 mattresses without slatted frames available. A toilet is on the same floor. On the 2nd floor there is the large bedroom with a double bed (160x200), a single bed (90x200) and a cot (70x140), a large bathroom with bathtub and a separate small bathroom with shower and toilet. To let your mind wander, enjoy some peace and look in the garden on the 2nd floor in the arbor is also a small separate reading corner with two chairs. The two floors are connected by a steep staircase, possibly unsuitable for older guests. The house has two gardens to linger. In one of the gardens I keep my running ducks that can move freely. Since we are a family with two small children, it has in addition to some toys, children's books, children's kitchen, a sandpit, garden shed in addition to a high chair and a baby seat. The house is from about 1850. At the end of the 19th century, the attic and the upper rooms were on fire, so that the house was partially rebuilt at that time. We took over the house in 2009 and renovated it in-house. The upper pastel-colored bedroom is, apart from the windows and the modern heating, almost in the original condition of 1892. The house serves to us as a weekend and holiday home, as a retreat for rest and energy to refuel, to disconnect from everyday life, to leave the city behind, but also to be exuberant, to sing, dance, paint, play with the children and enjoy in the garden the plants and flowers. All of this can also be part of you. The rooms of the apartment are accessible to all guests. We do not rent the artist studio in the barn next door and it is locked. Also the ancillary rooms such as former servants' rooms, garage, workroom, cellar, barn passage and stable are not part of the rental but not lockable. If you travel with children, the children are allowed to play with the toys in the garden. These are NOT cleaned in front of every guest, so that possibly still sand or dirt from the play of the last children is liable. As mentioned, this is not our permanent residence. You and your family can enjoy the whole house and the privacy. We do not live on site. I am however at any time by SMS very good to achieve if something should be. Hallau is located in a winegrowing area between the Black Forest, the Rhine Falls and Lake Constance and offers various options for hiking, biking or day trips to Schaffhausen, Zurich or Basel. It is not necessary, but certainly advantageous to arrive by car. In front of the house is a parking space for 1-2 cars. The bus from Hallau to the next train station leaves every 30 minutes. The bus station is two minutes walk from our house. The ducks are shy and can not be touched. Please tell your children that the ducks can not be hunted or touched. A duck has died because children of guests have hunted them. End of September / beginning of October is vintage. Our neighbor opposite is a wine grower and all the grapes of the surrounding area are pressed with him. The approach, unloading and the machine is opposite so that in these 3-5 weeks from about 8pm to 8am the farmers start with the tractors and trailers, in the time then each more operation and the associated noise is connected.
