Situated on the edge of a little village overlooking the Gorge d'Allier and its old growth forests, the Lodge provides an ideal base for groups of family or friends to enjoy activity holidays together. Wild water swimming, biking, kayaking, local woodland and long distance trails including the famous Stevenson and St Jacques routes are all accessible nearby. Quiet local roads take you to numerous country restaurants and the beautiful medieval city of Le Puy is just 25 minutes by car. The Lodge is situated in half a hectare of trees and gardens including pick your own vegetable allotments. There is a 90 square metre club room with bar/breakfast kitchenette. The loft above provides table tennis, darts and exercise equipment plus yoga mats. Wifi and smart televisions for Netflix and Amazon Prime are also available. There are five bedrooms including two ensuite twins, one large double with shower and two small doubles. A kitchen, pantry/laundry, two dining annexes and a lounge room are situated on the ground floor together with an equipment and cloak room. Four garden areas surrounding the Lodge including decks and a summer house are at your disposal as well as an area of 30m x 20m for badminton, 5-a-side football etc. There are 8 bikes available for guests and house guides for the wide range of walking and cycling routes including a delightful voie verte from nearby Costaros to Le Puy following a disused railway line with five long tunnels.
