Casa Gave - Nature and relax in Tuscany

The house consists of two apartments obtained from a wing of the "Gave" manor house located in Sorana, a small village in the heart of "Svizzera Pesciatina" in Tuscany. The house is ideal for those looking for relax in an atmosphere impossible to find in the most famous tourist locations. Surrounded by terraces where the olive trees are grown and open on the hillside offers a large fenced garden to allow you and your pets to spend a pleasant holiday. The apartment, with separate entrance, is composed as follows: - kitchen-living room with wood burning fireplace complete with all appliances, microwave, kettle and TV; - double bedroom with wardrobe. Removable baby bed or additional bunk bed availables on request; - second double bedroom with large dresser; - bathroom with toilet, shower and bidet. The property was completely renovated in 2017 respecting the original features, such as ceilings with chestnut beams, local stone walls, chestnut window frames and wrought iron gates. The furniture are made of wood recovered from the original beams. Outside there are a pergola covered by a wisteria where you can relax or eat and a bbq available for lunches and dinners. A ping-pong table and table football are also available. As we live next to the apartment we are available for any need of the guest. The activities to be carried out can be: - excursions / trekking to the surrounding areas (Pracchia, Uso di Sotto) or to the Abetone area; - days at the seaside in Versilia (Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio); - relax in the spa of Montecatini Terme; - enjoy typical dishes in the nearby restaurants and farmhouses (Montaione, Da Sandrino, Da Carla); - visit the Pinocchio park in Collodi where you can let your children live a day like fairy tales. Events to attend: - Festa di Maggio and Pescia Medioevale with civil and religious celebrations; - Summer Festival in Lucca (July); - Sagra del Cinghiale in Pietrabuona (July); - Panino al Prosciutto and Grilled meat festival in Vellano (August); - Feast of the Beccutino in Stiappa (August 15th); - San Bartolomeo, where it is possible to taste the famous Cecchi con Becchi in Collodi on (August 24th); - Festa del Fagiolo, a typical IGP product in Sorana (August); - every Saturday in Pescia the weekly market is held; - Luminara di Santa Croce in Lucca in the context “Settembre Lucchese” (september); - Lucca Comics (October – November).
