THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VACATION HOME I HAVE EVER STAYED IN...... I went to Corfu for a vacation with my adult daughters and one of their boyfriends. None of us had been to Greece and we wanted to stay in the less touristy part of the island. The Seahorse Villa was everything we wanted and more. It's secluded, spacious, the view is magnificent, the pool has spring water, the bedrooms are light and airy. A FANTASTIC LOCATION IN A GREAT HOUSE........ Villa Seahorse is a wonderful house, with much space and good quality interiours. You will find there anything you need for your holidays. The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, most with private verandas & sea views. The comfortable lounge leads onto a large veranda for outside dining with gas and built in BBQs. The kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher & washing machine. A gorgeous, comfortable, well equipped, perfect seaside home. Our own small, almost private beach is a mix of sand/shingle/rock/seaweed, depending on the weather, fabulous for swimming, with clear water and sand underfoot, but if you feel the need for 100% clear soft sand, just a couple of minutes away is a 4km sandy beach - ideal for those early morning walks (or jog!) This is a quiet conservation area, with many species of wildlife, including flamingoes on the Lake in spring and autumn. Lake Korrission, nearby coastline and countryside, which is a 5 minute walk away has been seen many times in the ITV adaptation of The Durrells. The story written by Gerald Durrell about his young family life in Corfu. This is one of the very few holiday villas in Corfu on a beach which due to its access, is virtually private for our guests. Corfu is an ideal family holiday destination, nowhere is very far away, and a sightseeing doesn't involve hours in the car for the kids. Corfu Town is large enough to be interesting, and small enough not to be daunting! The old streets are fascinating and wherever you go, eventually you end up back where you started! The island is a complete mix of all kinds of scenery, trees and plants, one minute you are on a wide open sandy beach on the west coast watching kitesurfers, 10 minutes later you could be in a totally secluded tree lined, peaceful bay with totally still water watching a fisherman haul in his catch. Some villages are small fishing villages around a jetty, other hilltop villages are a collection of winding cobbled streets. Corfu has it all, from one olive grove to another the scenery can change completely, and the more you see of the island, the more you realise how much it has to offer.
