The Hide is situated on the edge of a small residential hamlet called Loventor, just 3 miles outside the historic town of Totnes. The Hide is a hidden treasure for those who yearn for a unique Devon experience. Set amongst the trees within the grounds of Oaks and Elms cottage, the meticulously crafted self-contained accommodation profits from views across rolling hills towards Marldon Village and birdsong in the morning. The open plan accomodation includes a kitchen, lounge area and double bed, a separate shower room/luggage store and a private garden. Handover is contact free using a key safe. However, your hosts Sheila and Jamie live in the cottage next door. The Hide is set on the John Musgrave Heritage Trail running from Torquay to Brixham, and accessible to many more hikes and cycles. For a comfortable local explore, it is a 10 minute walk to Berry Pomeroy Castle one of the most intriguing 15th century castles. It is a 30 minute walk to Marldon Village which is home to the multi award winning country pub The Church House Inn. It is an easy drive to the historic town of Totnes, Torquay, Brixham, Ashburton and the dramatic coast lines of South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) including Bigbury-on-Sea, Berry Head and Dartmoor. Dartington Trust with its array of arts and ecology attractions and beautiful gardens is a delightful day out.
