The Church Self-Contained Cottages Hahei

Our four Self-Contained Cottages have a queen bed with plump pillows and feather duvet, a bathroom and open plan kitchen/ living area, giving you the space and flexibility to self-cater during your stay. Amenities include: a double hotplate, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger and utensils, a 32” TV/DVD player and 2 window divan beds that can be made up as single beds, if needed, to accommodate a total of four guests in the cottage. The Self-Contained Cottages are thoughtfully placed for privacy among subtropical gardens and make up 2 of the 12 Cottages on The Church Accommodation property. You will be booking one of these Cottages and it will be all yours or your stay. There is a shared lounge and BBQ area if you wish to use it, complete with Sky TV, books, games, and DVDs to borrow. Your Cottage has it's own dedicated parking space so unpacking is easy and as Hahei is a walking friendly village you can happily leave your car onsite for your entire stay. You have booked a Self-Contained Cottage with private garden and verandah and 1 designated parking space. You will also have access to a guest laundry (for a fee), guest lounge complete with free library/book exchange, DVDs, board games and SKY TV, as well as all the common areas such as the guest BBQ verandah and gardens. The Church Accommodation reception is staffed for certain hours of the working day but we are always available by phone using the phone number posted on the wall outside reception. We are usually not more than five minutes away if needed. Reception hours will be at the bottom of your confirmation email once you book. Hahei Village is a quiet seaside village with some amazing attractions such as: the world famous Cathedral Cove, Hotwater Beach, The Blowhole, and Lonely Bay. We highly recommend Cathedral Cove Kayaks, Hahei Explorer Boat Trip, Serial Griller Burgers, The Cathedral Cove Water Taxi, and the Ocean Leopard Tours boat trip. The Hahei Beach Cafe has the best Coffee in town and its all within walking distance. Hahei Village is a village of 300 people in the winter which swells in the summer to almost 12,000 at its peak and as such you won't find a large supermarket, or very many eating establishments. We suggest you visit a supermarket before arriving if you wish to stay for a few days, or plan a trip to our largest local town Whitianga during your stay. Hahei is a fairly remote place and it is always a good idea to have your own transport. If you are without your own transport then the Intercity bus delivers you to Whitianga and if you ask the driver sometimes they can arrange a shuttle to pick you up from a place called Dalmeny corner to bring you the 10kms from the main State Highway 25 to Hahei. There are a few Taxi and shuttle companies operating in the area to take you on tours or just for transport and we can recommend Sandshifters, Coromandel Adventures, and Go Kiwi Shuttles. For sightseeing we highly recommend taking the Cathedral Cove Kayaking trip to see the stunning Cathedral Cove or one of the Ocean Leopard Tours or Hahei Explorer Boat Tours. We have spades available for digging your own natural spa at Hotwater Beach and beach towels available, free of charge. The shuttle bus that takes you to the start of the Cathedral Cove Walking track leaves from directly behind our property so you can leave your car onsite after you arrive.
