Agua Azul: a luxurious rural woodland idyll

The guest suite is a separate unit on our woodland farm, with bedroom, kitchen and ensuite bathroom. A small seating area allows for TV viewing and relaxing, whilst the pool (private) is just a step away. A barbecue area is yours to enjoy and the seven acres (about 2 Ha) of land can be explored. There are many activities to enjoy, depending on the season, from grape-picking in our vineyard, olive picking at the right time of year and generally exploring a beautiful part of central Portugal. If you wish to spend time in the green, relaxing and ruraloutdoors, then this is the place for you. No compromises on quality or luxury set in the beautiful surroundings of a small farm, with a couple of mini goats (you can help with them if you want), two friendly dogs and a couple of cats. There are apple, olive, peach and pear trees, raspberry bushes and lots of land to wander around. Quiet, secluded and calm, with lots of oak and cork oak trees. Lounging by the pool or exploring the local area, each day can endyour own apartment, with a fully fitted kitchen and satellite TV and WiFi. We are close by but live in our own separate farmhouse, so if you need anything, we are here to help. But we do not get in your way. We will be spending time on the farm, feeding the goats, tending to the land and generally pottering about, but you have all the private space you need. Central Portugal is relaxed and rural. It has a slow pace of life, but the city of Coimbra (45 mins away by car) is vibrant and cultured. Heavily wooded, with wonderful walks and byways, the air is clean and pure. You will be able to be as active or as lazy as you wish. The small town of Coja, just 10 minutes away, has bars and shops and banks whilst the Serra de Estrela, Portugal's highest point, just an hour away, has skiing and wonderful views. The nearby stone villages are pretty and the local food, such as wild boar and river trout are marvellous. We have a couple of trekking bikes you can use for exploring the locality, but you will find that a car is needed to do any more extensive sightseeing. The main train line runs through Coimbra, which is about 45 minutes away by car. Local bus services allow travel throughout Portugal.
