@southgoldenbeachguesthouse Nestled just across the road from the footbridge that takes you on a short 6 minute stroll to the beach, look to the right and you will see Cape Byron in the distance! This is the perfect location for a couples escape, fully self-contained, your own entrance and free parking! Enjoy the tranquil luscious private gardens. South Golden Beach is located 30 minutes to Gold Coast Airport to the north and 25 minutes to Byron Bay to the South. We now have a TV and free Netflix to enjoy on a rainy day!*** This guest suite is located on the ground level of our home, please note quiet owners and our super relaxed dog live upstairs. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxation areas within the lush garden, there's a lovely hammock and daybed to laze away the day with your book, an outdoor seating area for coffee and dining or use as your laptop work space, there is also a Weber Baby Q provided should you wish to use it. The bedroom is a large space, with a lovely ensuite complete with a shower, and direct access to the lush landscaped gardens through the stackable glass doors. It’s a stylish light filled room with blinds and a quiet fan above the bed, or if you prefer you can use the air-conditioner. If you prefer fresh air there's plenty of windows for letting the breezes in when required. Please note there is no TV in the bedroom, however there is one in the lounge/dining area. The cooking facilities are limited to toaster, kettle, microwave, mini bar fridge, rice cooker, Weber Baby Q and a Nespresso Machine. If you like to play some tunes please bring your own portable speaker. You will have full access to the bedroom, ensuite and lounge/dining, food preparation area, including the tranquil garden. You will also be able to use the Weber Baby Q and the fire-pit taking into consideration the fire-rating of the day. Nobody will enter your space while you are staying, we use a different entrance to access our front door. We live upstairs, however we will leave you in peace but will always be available should you need anything or require any suggestions. We may use our deck, but you will most likely not see us, as your entertaining area is underneath and completely shielded from our view. South Golden Beach is a unique, quiet and peaceful little town-ship with a wonderful local café, Mrs Birdy, which doubles as a shop for essential goods, is great for eat in or take-away coffee, the best sweets and lunch ideas, take-away Pizzas and a great selection of gluten free options. Open 7 days from 7 am breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have had a guest saying it's the best fish and chips ever! Ocean Shores Shopping Village which boasts Coles and Target Country, Chemist, Bottle Shop, FDB's (Fair Dinkum Bargains), a Japanese Restaurant Sabi Sushi, for a quick Sushi or meal, Food Culture (Bulk Food), Flavour (menu in folder), Ocean Shores Tavern, Kiso's Espresso Bar, Dr's and Laundromat is just a short 7 minute drive from the Guest House. New Brighton is a short 3 minute drive away with a local shop, Post Office and bottle shop, as well as Yum Yum Tree a boutique cafe open for weekend evening meals. New Brighton also hosts Farmers Markets every Tuesday - and of course a beautiful beach. Ocean Shores Country Club is also a short distance away which offers courtesy buses and offers good pub food. Brunswick Heads is located a 15 minute drive away offering an array of eateries, the Brunswick Pub which has bands on weekends, gift shops, the lovely River and Torakina Beach if you don’t want to swim in waves, or of course there is also the option of the Beach. Brunswick Heads also has on offer a very exclusive restaurant called Fleet. Bookings however need to be made well in advance. There are several walking tracks nearby, a local bus that connects with Byron Bay. Our guest house is located within a short distance of Splendour In the Grass and The Byron Bay Blues Fest venues, with buses leaving to each of these venues at short 4 minute walk to the end of Helen Street. While staying at South Golden Guest House it is most convenient to have a car. There is room for parking your vehicle on the nature strip directly adjacent to the front private gate entrance. Guests have used Uber's and Taxis . There is the local bus service that takes you to Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. The bus leaves from Shara Boulevard or Beach Avenue . It travels via New Brighton. It is an easy walk to the beach and our favourite coffee shop Mrs Birdys. Please note: strictly no smoking inside the property. If you are a smoker please go outside of the premises. There is a Weber Baby Q on the premises, a microwave, a toaster a kettle, rice cooker and Nespresso machine for you to use. There is also a bar fridge for your convenience. If you are bringing your dog with you please discuss with us prior if you intend on leaving your pet by itself at the Guest House. We prefer if you don't but understand there are situations when you may want to for a short period of time. If we are home we are happy to keep an eye on your four legged family member. I have also left the details of a lovely pet sitting facility on a farm. The cost is $40 for the day, you drop your pet off to Heidi at Billinudgell and she sends photos of the experience to your phone during the day. I have had several guests use this service, all with very positive reviews. Please do an extra trip around the yard before leaving just to make sure the droppings have been cleaned up. I have made extra doggie bags available in a box outside in the cupboard underneath the Weber Q. Please be advised this property is not suitable for cats. Should you need to do some washing please let us know and we can make washing facilities available!! Please be advised our dog has recently had a leg amputation. She is a bit more clumsy walking around (when she's not lounging on the deck) you may here a bump here and there during the day. She sleeps in another room at night and you won't hear her at night.
