The house is one block away from beautiful Lake Pontchartrain, with walking/bike paths, kayaking & water sports, and several of Louisiana’s most magnificent live oak trees. We are conveniently located across the street from LaLou restaurant open daily serving breakfast at 7:30am. Numerous restaurants, shops, entertainment and the St Tammany Trace are just steps away! Two rooms for rent can be adjoining spaces upon request. Exterior entrance. This is one of two suites on the same floor that share a courtyard area. Search for “The Pearl- One Block From The Lake!” to locate the other listing. Our family lives in the main house and on the second floor. The kitchen & living area are private to us. The two guest rooms are closed off and completely private with their own exterior entrances. Guests have access to side courtyard as well. The property is within walking distance to so many great amenities! Our property is one block from Lake Pontchartrain lakefront walking & bike paths and the most beautiful sunsets in Louisiana! You can enjoy lakefront dining or the quaint restaurants and cafes on Girod St, biking, hiking, boating or fishing. Directly across the street from us is LaLou restaurant, open daily at 7:30 serving breakfast, brunch, or lunch. On the other corner from us are bike and kayak rentals at Brooke’s bike shop. Other favorite restaurants of ours all within walking distance are: The Beach House, McClain’s Pizzeria, The Book and the Bean, The Lakehouse, Rips on the Lake, Nuvolari’s, Hambone, The Rusty Pelican, and Old Rail Brewery. Easy access to the St. Tammany Trace is a great biking adventure as well! Walking & biking is encouraged in Old Mandeville; however on-street parking and public parking lots are available.
