Sunset Cottage on Scotland Island
Attention adventurers! Discover our unique waterfront cottage, complete with little beach and jetty, all less than 1hr from Sydney's CBD! Scotland Island is one of those quirky, serene and vibrant locations to explore. It's stunning Pittwater surrounds attract nature lovers, and a large variety of floating enthusiasts. Residents are drawn to the warmth of community, and adore the logistical madness of their water-access-only lifestyle. We fell in love with it instantly, and hope you do too! Step ashore, straight into the house! Once inside, you'll find: - A large open plan lounge and kitchen (fully equipped) with cosy fireplace - A full bathroom with shower and bathtub for two - A laundry with washer and dryer - A master bedroom (upstairs) with stunning elevated views and a small balcony - A second smaller bedroom (also upstairs) - An amazing front deck that hangs over the water at high tide - A jetty, pontoon and little beach Please note, the entire foreshore on Scotland Island is public access (meaning you too are allowed to walk all the way around the island on the waterfront). During high tide, our neighbours use our front deck to avoid getting their feet wet. This side of the island can be quite social at holiday times. The closer you are to the water, the more random social encounters happen, as the foreshore all around the island is publicly accessible. The community is wonderfully friendly, but also very respectful of privacy. If you're keen to have quiet time it's very easy to escape to the serenity of the lounge, listen to the water lapping and enjoy the stunning views throughout the house. There are no shops on the island so you'll need to bring supplies with you. At Church Point there is a small local supermarket and two restaurant / cafes. If you are experienced boaties, there are also other water access restaurants and pubs to explore in Bayview and Newport. Please see House Manual
