In a peaceful rural valley, nestled at the base of stunning buffs near the banks of the River is Hurunui River Retreat. With little more than an hour’s drive from Christchurch you could be taking a relaxing break far from the madding crowd. Pip & Burton invite you to stay in one of their two architecturally designed cottages, Flax & Tussock. Both with two cosy bedrooms, living and kitchen areas & bathrooms. Each cottage has uninterrupted views of the southern alps. Amazing views of the southern alps, from the Waimakariri gorge right round to the Kaikoura ranges.
