In suite bedroom in a traditional house

You will like the room for its comfortable bed and the peacefulness of the area. This ground floor room is fairly accessible, even with a wheelchair. The bathroom is all dedicated to you, there is a bath and an italian shower. We will share the vast kitchen fully equiped, the dining room, the sitting room and of course, the garden. Parental suite with private bathroom. Located on the ground floor of the old traditional Périgord house You'll have access to the big kitchen and its facilities, all assets of the house will also be accessible to you, but are shared with me. Of course, we'll also share the garden. No smoking in the house, but I allow myself to smoke in the garden, so may you also. The Hamlet l'Etang des Faures is a very beautiful village by the Pude river, next to the big pond (Etang). Lots of hiking can be done in the surroundings. The nearest villages (Cherval, La Tour Blanche, Verteillac, Mareuil) bear all the proximity shops. Further, Ribérac (19 km) is the "foie gras" capital. Brantôme (Périgord's Venice) is at 25 km, Périgueux and its cathedral or Angoulême and its famous cartoon festival are at 40 km. Bordeaux is roughly 1h30 and the ocean (Royan or Arcachon) can be reached in 2 hours. L'Etang des Faures is a beautiful hamlet crossed by "la Pude", the little river that starts in the very near lake. Great hikings are accessible in the surroundings. In Cherval (1 km) you'll find a bakery with some groceries, a bar and a restaurant. Nearest bigger villages are La Tour Blanche (7 km), Mareuil/belle (7 km) and Verteillac (6 km). Ribérac, the foie gras capital, is located at 19 km. Brantome, the green Venice, is at 25 km. Périgueux and Angoulême are 40 km distance. Bordeaux, Royan and Arcachon are 2 hours driving. It's better to have a car, here, but if you come by train, I can pick you up in Mareuil / Belle where a bus may take you from the train stations of Angouleme or Périgueux. As I live in the house, I can welcome you anytime and provide you with some advise about the area. I also speak a bit of german and chinese.
