Our gorgeous beachfront holiday home is available as your own personal beach retreat! Wake with the morning light to the sight & sound of the waves & be the first person to leave your footrpints in the sand :) The home has been designed to catch the sea breezes with big glass sliding doors and louvre windows and fans throughout. The entire house including the lounge and all bedrooms are air-conditioned for the odd occasions you may need it. Toolakea Beach Retreat is a fully renovated, modern, stylish and comfortable home. We have 3 bedrooms (2 x Queen beds and 1 x King bed - this bedroom room can be made up as 2 x Singles by prior request), one bathroom (with a luxurious deep bath as well as a rain shower), an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with kitchen and fully equiped laundry. There is a huge beach front veranda with multiple seating options including a luxurious day bed and a fabulous high observation tower, perfect for afternoon drinks watching the sun set! The living area has a 4 seater dining table, leather lounge (with chaise), comfortable arm chair and floor cushions for the kids (& adults) to lounge on. There is a television & DVD in the lounge and a selection of DVDs for you to enjoy and an additional television for DVD use in the second bedroom. The home is tiled throughout so it's cool and easy to keep clean. Bed linen bath and beach towels are provided. This gorgeous Beach House will take you back to your childhood and fun, family holidays! We are located right on the beachfront at Toolakea Beach, a hidden gem in the north Queensland coastline. Walk along the sandy path to the beach & enjoy hours of beach combing, birdwatching or fishing. This area is a photographer delight with many photo opportunities - beautiful sandy stretches, mangrove inlets and stunning sunrises/sunsets. Fishing is plentiful so bring your rod! You are just 20-30 minutes to major shopping centres and the city. Toolakea is a beautiful, safe & peaceful environment. CHECK IN: Our standard check in time is 2pm and check out is 10am. We are more than happy to be flexible dependent on your individual arrival and departure times & other guest bookings - please ask! Make sure you bring a bucket and spade for the kids, a camera to catch the stunning scenery and your fishing rod! Toolakea Beach is just 30 minutes drive from Townsville city, we have undercover parking for one car and off street parking for a second car if needed. The nearest shops are 10/15 minutes drive south (10 minutes for basics like petrol, bread & milk, 15 minutes for a full shopping complex with two supermarkets, bakery etc). There is very limited public transport to the area so having your own car is necessary. We have pay as you go wifi available for our guests
