We would like to welcome you to our lovely traditional Cottage sited on a busy working Organic Farm, Wake up to the sound of nothing but birds and tranquility and maybe the odd tractor and sheep. Trefaen Cottage is ideally suited to couples who want to get away and enjoy the Countryside with some walking or general sightseeing in the area. We accept a small dog also. Enjoy the setting evening sun outside in the garden with a good book and a with a glass of wine. This beautifully presented stone barn has been renovated from an old workman’s cottage. Enter through the courtyard into the property, where you will find exposed stone walls, beams and oak furnishings throughout. The wooden kitchen suite has been handmade and finished to a very high standard with a Belfast sink and features built-in appliances, such as a slimline dishwasher. Adjacent, you will find a cosy living room with a comfortable sofa and chair, and a dining table large enough for four people. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one single. The master bedroom is roomy and bright, and features a free-standing, romantic, roll-top bath. Next door is a modern bathroom with power shower. The garden at the front of the property is available for use. As it is a working farm we live on site and will be around on the yards working so generally will be able to help out with any questions or assistance that you might need. The hamlet of Crai is right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Walking routes are available from the doorstep of this property, but you can easily travel by bus as the nearest bus stop is just 40 metres away. Just 4 miles from here is the cattle market village of Sennybridge, which has a couple of shops and pubs. The bustling town of Brecon is 12.5 miles away and is a great day out with museums and a cathedral for you to visit. You can also access the popular hiking trail of the scenic peak, Pen y Fan in 12 miles from here. Crai village has a bus stop on the main road with a regular bus time table.
