Square Peg (Vista with private Jacuzzi)

The Square Peg is a quirky hotel with breathtaking views of the entire city of Kandy including the historic Temple of the tooth, the Kandy lake, the old Bogambara prison and the Hanthana mountain range. Located halfway up the legendary Bahirawakanda hill it is within a 4 minute drive from the Kandy Railway station (1.1km) 10 minutes by foot. 1Km to the Temple of the tooth and the Kandy lake. This room has a private balcony with a city view which includes an private jacuzzi overlooking the city. The property has stairs and high balconies which are not suitable for kids below 14 years and/or guest with fear of heights. All guest can access the roof top restaurant which offers some of the best views of Kandy. Host and staff would be happy to interact with guest whenever we get a chance. Probably the last remaining non touristy neighborhood so close to the city. The property sits in the middle of the most high-end residential neighborhood of Kandy on one side and a densely populated working class neighborhood on the other. The shortest access road by tuk or by foot will bring you through a two minute walk through a thickly populated working class neighborhood before reaching the very sparsely populated working class neighborhood in which the property is located which makes for a fascinating walk for the curious traveler. Alternatively you can take a slightly longer main access road through the high residential area.All access roads and the neighborhood have very safe track record.
