Le Loft GÎte

A tranquil setting nestled in the foothills of the Midi-Pyrénées, on the edge of the village with a supermarket (with fuel station), boulangerie, boucherie, bar and restaurant. The town of Lavelanet with larger shops and facilities is just 10 minutes by car. Local attractions are the Château de Montsegur, Fontaine des Fontestorbes, Crapahut adventure park and the Voie Verte cycle path along the old railway line from Mirepoix to Lavelanet. Part of our main house, a self-contained first-floor apartment with private entrance. There is a balcony, kitchenette, lounge and mezzanine bedroom, all newly renovated. No smoking in the apartment but smoking is permitted on the balcony and all garden areas. No pets. Private off-road parking available free of charge. We are on a quiet road on the edge of the village, but only ten minutes walk from the village centre. There are plenty of areas for walking, cycling and exploring. The lakes at Quillan and Montbel are 15 minutes away and you are welcome to use our paddleboards. Fishing is available locally (licence required) and we have a selection of tackle for you to borrow. The ski resorts of Camurac and Les Monts d'Olmes are 30 and 40 minutes drive respectively, the beaches at Perpignan and the tax free shopping in Andorra are 90 minutes away. Closest airports are Carcassone and Toulouse (both 75 minutes). Please note that the garden and outdoor areas are shared with us and our two cats, but we do respect your privacy and aim not to be intrusive. We look forward to welcoming you.
