The Brunswick / Ocean Shores is known as the easygoing uncrowded northern beachside of Byron Bay. From this part of the beach you can look across at the Byron Bay lighthouse in the distance then walk for hours in either direction on the secluded beach often with only your footprints to mark your passing. The house is situated adjacent to Billinudgel Nature Reserve where there a numerous walking hikes just at the back gate. Mount Warning is not far away and makes a great day hike and to be rewarded with the panoramic district views from the place which first greets the morning sun. The Gold Coast Worlds are about 50 minutes away- great day out for the kids! There are a number of great venues for eats and beverages including the laidback Sunday afternoon muso's in the Bruns Hotel beer garden, or the 2 hatted Fleet Restaurant and various local coffee shops and restaurants. Try the local farmers market at New Brighton or yoga on the beach at South Golden Beach. It is only 20 minutes by car to the centre of Byron Bay to the south.
