THE BEACH HOUSE

Lovely sunny, quiet, large room with king bed and luxury en-suite, luxury towels and bed linens. Newquay has 7 beaches all of them walking distance from the house, we have an eclectic mix here, of old English pubs and some upmarket bars for cocktails and 5 star meals. If you want Michelin star restaurants, then you will find them not far away up the coast a little. Newquay is a vibrant town, full of life, a california feel to it, especially when surfing is on, which is every day. Beautiful newly decorated with brand new en-suite, very quiet at night, comfortable King size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, dressing table with hair dryer, wardrobe,flat screen TV with DVD facility and WIFI connection. Coffee and tea making facilities in room. Quality shower products including hair shampoo and conditioner. A fan for the hotter evenings. Please feel free to come and go as you want, but please keep noise to a minimum when coming in late at night. There is a key for your room and access to the garden .We have lockable storage for surf boards and kayaks. Happy to help with suggestions for restaurants bars, etc and we will come get you if you get lost!! But it's highly unlikely as we are a small beach community, happy to chat with you but am not intrusive. we are laid back and relaxed and wish you to feel that too. Can suggest surf schools etc. And for POLDARK lovers I can point you in the right direction for the film locations, some nearly on the doorstep!! And for our German guests, you have all the locations for Rosamund Pilcher nearby too The world surfing championships are held in august on fistral beach which is 5 mins walk around the corner. It's 10-15 mins walk to town for shops, bars, restaurants etc. 10 mins the other side is the river inlet called the gannel, for kayaking, paddle boarding, and bbqs, also coastal path. Beautiful ocean front bar/restaurant just up on the headland. Golf is just around the corner too. All of Cornwall is access able for day trips from Newquay and therefore a good base. You can enjoy the quiet parts, or put on your party gear and head into town for bars and clubs. Celebrity chef rick stein has opened a fish and chip bar on the beach, along with an oriental bar serving pad Thai and various dishes. Jamie Oliver's no 15 is 15 minutes away at watergate bay and paul Ainsworth is in padstow along with Nathan Outlaw. So foodies heaven. Also we are attracting many bands here now for live music, board masters festival, eden project, watering hole, and our local pub The red lion. So come and enjoy our beautiful part of the world (you may even see poldark himself)!!! Private parking on drive. Buses and trains run from Newquay, but a car is easier. We have the beautiful coastal path on our doorstep, there are stunning walks to be had from all directions from the house. Wildlife is everywhere. We have a cat, who is very friendly, but is not allowed upstairs. You are very welcome to pet her, she loves it!!
