Beckworth Retreat - Ahh, the serenity!

During farm walks you will see kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and many birds including our resident eagles. Beckworth Retreat is a working farm located at the foot of Mt Beckworth just 20min north of Ballarat. Great place for groups but please note that we live in our attached private area and you will be amongst farm activity. Stay in the original farmhouse and/or additional 2Br areas which have been purpose built for couples/families to experience the quiet farm life with all the comforts of sleeping or relaxing inside. Full kitchen/pantry and dining table seats 14. Reverse cycle AC throughout for comfortable inside time and plenty of sunny/shady spots to relax in the garden. Pet friendly - a pet haven for well behaved furry friends - however pets must be under full control of an adult at all times and never left alone at the property (inside or the garden). There is an extensive garden area (enclosed for your furry friends but those not so well behaved will have to contained as there spaces where dogs can get through or under) and a large verandah area where you can always find a spot to just sit in the sun or the shade. Walkers can access Mt Beckworth Scenic Reserve via our farm tracks. Usually you will be greeted on arrival and assisted as needed. We will let you know if we are away and you will need to use smart lock keys to access the property. The historic township of Clunes (Victoria's first gold mining town) is only 5' drive and it is highly recommended to spend some hours browsing through the Booktown stores or just sitting having a coffee being part of the historic "film set" main street. Many Victorian Secrets (Pyrenees, Goldfields, Mineral Spas) are all a short drive away. Only 20 minutes north of Ballarat so easy access from A8 (Adelaide to Melbourne freeway). Full kitchen facilities are available including walk in Pantry with all the basics. No cooking is allowed in the 2 x bedroom units. BBQ facilities are also available but we do recommend many of the local restaurants/cafes/hotels for lunches and dinner. Tea/Coffee essentials are provided and many pantry essentials are available to be used and replaced if necessary - - usually oil is the one basic that needs replacing so bring with you if you are planning a few meals.
