Welcome to Cwm Cwtch Maes, luxury glamping by Llanidloes. All our guests will be welcomed by a friendly host. A welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, sugar & a lovely cake. If requested an extra treat supplied of sausage, bacon, beans & eggs to start you off on your first morning (vegetarian also on request) Wake up to the peace and tranquility of lovely views deep in the heart of Mid Wales. Each of our sites are completely private with their own private facilities. You have your own private shower and toilet. A small kitchen where you can sit in. This is fully equipped with a two ring gas camping stove, crockery, cutlery pot & pans, BBQ tool & utensil sest. There is also a BBQ, table and chairs, two recliners and a Hammock. All you have to bring is yourself, possibly wellies and a torch. And charcoal for the bbq. The site is lit with solar lights and some battery lights. This 6m bell tent is set for 4 people sleeping comfortably. All beds are made ready for your arrival. There is 1 double bed and 2 single beds. (An extra single bed made up (mattress)can be acquired for a 5th person for £20) Red kites and buzzards nest close by and can frequently be seen flying over head. You can relax in your own PRIVATE space, with plenty of room for the children to run around. All dogs are welcome as long as they are relatively well behaved and are up to date with their worming. Please be aware that there are sheep in the surrounding fields. Enjoy a bbq or sit around the fire pit, logs are supplied for your arrival and more may be purchased from your host. You may want to cook on the gas in the kitchen/dinning shelter. Or on the bbq. All cooking utensils are supplied also a selection of condiment sachets also salt & pepper and a small pot of cooking oil. We also provide a cool box and will give you ice packs each day so you can keep you food chilled. There is a table and plenty of seats and a couple of sun recliners and a hammock that you can relax on. The clean bright toilet and shower has hot and cold water with easy temperature control. We supply hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Hand and bath towels for each guest, 2 x toilet paper is also supplied. We have solar powered lights all around, but you may want to bring a torch. Your phone can be charged on the solar powered charger or plugged in to the power socket in the parking area. We will greet you on arrival, observing Social distancing at all times. As we are close we are available to help or give assistance when needed. We can also be contacted on the phone if we are not around. We like our guests to feel special and to have their own space and quiet to enjoy their stay. Just down the road and only a short walk away is the old market town of Llanidloes were you can look around the quirky shops, visit the old market hall, take a stroll along the beautiful river Severn or eat out at at one of several lovely restaurants. There are also quite a few dog friendly cafes and pubs where you can take your loved pets to. There are many beautiful walks and lots of different activities to do. The clywedog dam is only a couple of miles away where you can get a permit to fish, or just enjoy the views and beautiful walks. There is Hafren forest where you can really get away from it all. It is also a popular area for cyclist with great walks/ rides to the source of the Severn. We have a very good golf course close by where the whole family can practice their putting. There is kayaking where the whole family can go down the River Severn.( just 14 miles away) Also Pony trekking, outdoor pursuit centre, bush craft, Pottery making, many walks and cycle routes as well as Yamaha off road experience all close by. Some of these activities may have to be booked in advance. The town of Llanidloes is only a 10 minute walk away. There are many excellent walks and cycle routes in the area for all abilities. The buses run at regular times taking you to the coastal towns of Aberystwyth, Borth and Aberdovey they also go to all the local villages and towns including Newtown (market day on Tuesdays) and Machynlleth ( market day Wednesday) Another popular route is Rhayader where you can visit the beautiful reservoir of Ellen valley. The train station is 7 miles away at Caersws where you can take a spectacular coastal ride to Barmouth or go south to the bigger towns. There are lots of activities and lovely paces to eat,on booking please request the list and I will send the information to you . Masks and hand sanitizers are placed in your kitchen for your use.
